Best location in front of the sea . Arrived at night for one night , ask for a room for a family of five and was told no prob , we do have available rooms . Suddenly I couldn't book because of being with children , something was quite of weird ....

Hostel El Indio is a great place to stay in Punta del Diablo. The staff is lovely and the view from the hammock to the ocean is great. Beach is nearby and so is the center, supermarket and ATM. Fedde is a great guy!

I planned to stay at this hostel for three nights, and I ended up staying for nearly two weeks. The location is great - the view from the dining room table is simply breathtaking (right over the ocean). I found the owner generous and helpful. He shared his favorite wine with me, and ended up giving us a large bottle...

Nice view - you just have to accept that this "resort" is materially a shanty town servicing visitors a couple of months a year. Hostal was ok - would have preferred sheets on the beds and a shorter queue for the loo but heck it is a hostel.

We spent 3 weeks in Uruguay and this was one of my top 2 places in the whole trip the town is amazing and the view from El Indio is just amazing! the rooms were clean and the location cannot be better. The only issue you may run into is that apparently there is no front desk service all day.

I stayed 6 night in this hostel. It's really comfortable and close to the beach. You can see it from the beautiful terrace of the living room. It's very clean and peaceful, moreover the owner and his staff are lovely.

Nice and chill location, great oceanview and really helpful staff. Only a 2 minute walk to the center and the supermercado. I stayed for 5 days and really liked it. Breakfast is simple but you get fresh brewed coffee. Would go back any time.
