I only got to spend 3 nights there this time (I stayed for 10 days in 2013) but had another enjoyable time photographing arthropods, plants and fungi. It was the rainy season (I was there between the 19th and 22nd of January) and I enjoyed listening to the frogs which were spawning in the numerous puddles and ponds. The rain...

Inotawa Lodge is a fabulous lodge set 5 minutes from the Tambopata River. The lodge is rustic with small bungalows that include private baths (toilet, sink, and COLD shower). The lodge only has electricity from 6-9:30pm in the bar and common areas. A Hilton it is not, but if you want an authentic rain forest experience, this lodge is great....

After reviewing many jungle lodge, I decide to choose this one. You have to believe in all the good review here! This property is awesome! Let's come to the good points. 1. Nice owner and god service. The owner is very nice and with our guide Paul, are very flexible in organizing the activities. We face the thunderstorm and have...

We were very pleased we had chosen Inotawa for our Amazon adventure - 4 days in the rainforest. The lodge is basic but has everything covered. Our bungalow, which certainly gives more privacy than the partitioned dorms in the main building, had its own bathroom, albeit with just cold water and was candlelit at night. Power is available at the...

Inotawa is a easy going lodge run by their owners and initiators. As a lodge in the rain forest region of Peru, it is built following traditional native architecture patterns. A big maloka has the lobby, individual or double rooms, the restaurant and bar. It is located outside of the city! You sail over 40 minutes from the Infierno harbour...

The guide was excellent, the atmosphere of the lodge was relaxed and authentic. The visit to the clay lick cliff to see the parrots was amazing. The rooms were comfortable considering the heat. The noise of the forest at night was incredible.

I went as a sidetrip from Cusco solely [npi] for the wildlife and animals, not a peaceful vacation, so was disappointed three times. First when our very friendly guide took us to a lake but was too lazy to show us any otters or piranhas when the other boat on the lake [not sure from which lodge] was even fishing...

Thank you for your comments yp17, we feel your dissapointment with the expectations you had to see wildlife, being Inotawa situated in the national reserve of tambopata, the highest point of biodiversity, but unfortunatly february was a chaotic raining season, with the highest flood from the last 60 years, this obviously have most animals hidden in their caves. There is...

As you can tell from the reviews, Inotawa has lots of happy guests, and my family was no exception. Before booking (and later before our arrival), I read through the reviews and found the information on Tripadvisor to be very helpful. For that reason, I'm providing a lengthy review to help fellow travelers decide whether to stay here, and what...

When we looked at places to stay inotawa was a lot cheaper, and I really don't know what other places could offer as it was great. Airport collection and transport to the lodge went smoothly. The lodge is beautifully done, and at night is gorgeously lit up. The rooms and bathrooms (we had a private bungalow) were huge and spotless....

We had a great time staying at Inotawa for five days and four nights at the end of the rainy season in May. The bungalow that we stayed in was large and comfortable with much more privacy than the regular lodge building, and although there was no electricity in the bungalows they do set you up with candles and lighters....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
INOTAWA started its operations of eco- tourism in the Tambopata national reserve (RTAMB) in 1998 by visiting the sites that can be found at the margins of the Tambopata River. These are Tres Chimbadas Lake, the La Torre Lakes, Cocococha lake, La Torre parrot clay lick, Chuncho and Colorado clay licks and El Gato creek. In order to offer comfort to our guests during their visits we constructed inotawa lodge situated in the sector La Torre in the buffer zone of the Tambopata national reserve and surrounded by an area of private conservation (ACP) with pristine forest and natural bamboo patches that host a large variety of birds, mammals, insects and reptiles.Inotawa lodge is constructed with traditional materials of the Amazon. Palm leaf thatching, timber and bamboo maintain an architecture that blends in perfectly with the surrounding nature and the gardens full of medicinal and ornamental plants. The infrastructure consists of 16 rooms with private bathroom, a dining area, a bar, a hammock area, a web of trails, kayaks and bicycles. In short, everything necessary to offer safe, high quality service to our tourists with social and environmental responsibility.INOTAWA is a family business run by naturalists that also develop projects with the inhabitants of the "La Torre" sector. We think this to be the best manner to give a sustainable use to the area. ... more   less
