I did the Lake Cocococha tour in August 2015. It was very well organised and very enjoyable. We did not stick to the itinerary outlined when booking the trip, but this was not an issue as we still saw lots of wildlife. The lodge was very comfortable and the food was very good too, with vegetarian options available. Our guide,...

Hello Thank you very much for rating us. I´d like to comment on your criticism. Unfortunately all flights into and out of Puerto Maldonado are around noon. We have no influence on that. Another Option is maybe to arrive via bus early in the morning. All the best from Peru, Inotawa

We spent four days here, and had a wonderful time! The lodge is in the middle of the jungle, has no windows or hot water, and only has power a few hours per day (When they cook) But the staff is friendly and nice, the food is quite good and all the experiances around are fantastic! We went fishing, bathing,...

Situated across river from the superb Tambopata National Reserve. The lodge has a not quite complete feeling to it. Most of the main trees have been kept and wildlife abounds around the site. The food was excellent and there is a bar for alcoholic and other drinks. The beds have very good mosquito nets. However, the rooms are rather open...

Hello Thank you very much for your opinion. The vast majority of the guests have no or very little prior experience in the rainforest. Therefore we advise not to go on the trails alone. All the best, Inotawa

We had a great time at Inotawa lodge in July 2015. The lodging was basic (which is to be expected in an eco-lodge that is very reasonably priced), but very clean. The beds were fine to sleep on. We loved the food, most of the time consisting of delicious Peruvian dishes. The surroundings were beautiful, it is possible to relax...

I was very happy with my stay at Inotawa. They are close to Puerto Maldonado. I was a single female traveller and they were accommodating. I had my own room and made great friends at the lodge. The prices are reasonable. The best part was that there were only 3 people in our group so we could cover a lot...

I chose Inotawa as I had very limited time to spend in Puerto Maldonado and Inotawa had the best value, as well as the itinerary that was most suited to our needs. AIRPORT TRANSFER: supremely easy, the guide assigned to you will be waiting outside PEM airport with a sign holding your name and will accompany you all the way....

My husband, two teenage boys and I arrived at Inotowa as our first stop in Peru. I really didn't know what to expect and might have been a bit nervous if I had known beforehand that there are no hot showers and very simple accommodations. I'm so glad I didn't miss out on this incredible experience, which was definitely the...

I signed up in Cusco for a 4 day/3 night trip with Inotawa Expeditions because the cost was modest. I wanted to see the jungle after reading about Manu National Park, but the prices to visit there were way out of my budget. I really didn't know what to expect when I arrived in Puerto Maldonado, but starting with the...

I only got to spend 3 nights there this time (I stayed for 10 days in 2013) but had another enjoyable time photographing arthropods, plants and fungi. It was the rainy season (I was there between the 19th and 22nd of January) and I enjoyed listening to the frogs which were spawning in the numerous puddles and ponds. The rain...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
INOTAWA started its operations of eco- tourism in the Tambopata national reserve (RTAMB) in 1998 by visiting the sites that can be found at the margins of the Tambopata River. These are Tres Chimbadas Lake, the La Torre Lakes, Cocococha lake, La Torre parrot clay lick, Chuncho and Colorado clay licks and El Gato creek. In order to offer comfort to our guests during their visits we constructed inotawa lodge situated in the sector La Torre in the buffer zone of the Tambopata national reserve and surrounded by an area of private conservation (ACP) with pristine forest and natural bamboo patches that host a large variety of birds, mammals, insects and reptiles.Inotawa lodge is constructed with traditional materials of the Amazon. Palm leaf thatching, timber and bamboo maintain an architecture that blends in perfectly with the surrounding nature and the gardens full of medicinal and ornamental plants. The infrastructure consists of 16 rooms with private bathroom, a dining area, a bar, a hammock area, a web of trails, kayaks and bicycles. In short, everything necessary to offer safe, high quality service to our tourists with social and environmental responsibility.INOTAWA is a family business run by naturalists that also develop projects with the inhabitants of the "La Torre" sector. We think this to be the best manner to give a sustainable use to the area. ... more   less
