The hotel is typical for a French 3* hotel. The hotel is pretty centrally located in St Girons which is a good base for this area. The rooms are of a mixed standard, some basic, some more comfortable. Those overlooking the garden have the best views. The proprietor Sylvie was extremely accommodating and will sort out any arrangements or plans...

We had actually booked at Chateau Beauregard, but due to changed cycling plans, had arrived a day early in St Girons. CB were full, and called ahead to Hotel Eychenne who had space. Most people at the hotel seemed to be on organised cycling holidays (either in small groups or very large groups). There was a wonderfully large space off...

Seduced by promises of Mountain Views we were disappointed by a fairly small room at the end of the corridor whose window opened onto a very hot rooftop with a slight view of some hills. The whole decor and feel was from the 1950's. This was not without its charm, with lots of old furniture and artefacts around the hotel,...

Went there with my boyfriend and our dog. The hotel looks nice but the service is TERRIBLE! The restaurant had great food! but with the rude people working there , (knowing nothing about service), we went home even earlier than expected. The breakfast had nothing and was super expensive. The cleaning lady went in to the room both of the...

Dear Sofia, So sorry to hear that you such a bad experience in our hotel. Not all of the staff currently speaks English, that is true; but in order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, there was always someone speaking English to help you out, no one got angry with you. The cleaning lady did not walk into...

A simple hotel that is nothing fancy. Do not expect luxury here. It is by no means run down or dirty. It is very old but rooms are modernized. At least the bathroom is. Furniture is older and room is simple and understated. The online pictures of the garden area are a little deceiving. This hotel is located in the...

Looking at the outside of the hotel you are not sure what you are getting. But once inside you are greeted like family. The rates are very reasonable and the rooms are large, clean, quiet and comfortable. We where ask to look at the rooms before booking, nice touch. Rooms 7 or 9 have a private terrace. Five star resturant...

We visited the hotel for lunch on a Saturday on the recommendation of friends who eat there regularly. I am not sure if we caught them on an 'off' day but overall were we disappointed. The restaurant was busy so we were asked if we would eat in the outdoor conservatory ... not an issue as it was a lovely...

Superb chef. Their Menu de jour weekdays cannot be beaten for quality and value anywhere in Saint girons. It also includes a glass of wine and coffee. Well recommended, we go there most Saturdays as this is market day.

THE whole staff in the hotel are devoted to the guest. You feel that you are welcome there. The rooms are spacious, decorated with old furniture, the bed were comfortable and the bathrooms modern. Everything was clean and efficient. We have slept very well in this quiet environment.

Great place to stay. The staff are fantastic. We got great rates just walking in off the street. Breakfast was ok. Sliced meat, cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, coffee etc.... We stayed three nights. Ate at the restaurant one night - it was superb. Fabulous food and service too. Wasn't around during day to try lunch but the setup outside looked...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the middle of the Pyrenean Mountains, in the heart of the Natural Park, one minute away from downtown Saint-Girons, the Hotel & Restaurant Eychenne welcomes you with lots of smile in a cosy atmosphere. All our clients are always surprised when they discover our hotel. We are located in a small street of Saint Girons, just next to downtown. Our facade is charming, but doesn't let people guess all the space we have to offer until they come in. At the entrance, in the hall and at the reception, everything is subject to photographs. One step inside, and people can feel like they are just travelling in time, apealed to an old style french hotel, very traditional, but with all the comfort of modernity... with more than 4000m2 of facilities! ... more   less
