Room with stone-lined walls and floors give good cooling feelings, simplicity in interesting vertical design of all space. Could be good with providing a bottle of water waiting for a night coming guest. But the greatest impression of the place is absolutely that magnificent vast view over the plains of the Park- breath taking! Starting from the sun set unimaginable...

Just outside Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kingfisher Lodge has the most beautiful views across the escarpment towards the National Park. The road through the park up to the lodge is truly awful but the lodge is worth the inconvenience. The rooms are individual thatched round buildings - some with steep steps to reach the front doors. The terrace to our...

Kingfisher is about a half hour south of Kazinga channel on broken tarmac up the Rift Valley escarpment. On getting there, we were given a welcome drink of passion fruit juice. Payment is asked for upfront. Cash is best, because the credit card reader may not always get a good connection. We were given a cottage with enclosed bath, very...

All visitor rooms look out over QENP with its crater lakes and mountains as a backdrop. Our room was spacious and light. We especially enjoyed the reading lamp at the head of the bed. The large step-down shower is unique with stone-lined walls and floor. We were on half board and were served delicious food on time. Internet available around...

A great lodge with an excellent view over Queen Elizabeth National Park. The food was good and not too expensive. The beds were comfortable and there was hot water for showers. The pool had 2 levels and a tiled slide. There was also a shallower pool for children also with a slide. We would recommend this lodge.

We took a family trip with two other families to Kingfisher Lodge because the cost was very affordable including meals and lodging. The location is wonderful, you can eat dinner watching the sun set over the Rift Valley. We even saw elephants down in the valley from patio area. They have three pools although only two were functional when we...

We were travelling from Lake Mburo to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park on Saturday and had been recommended this lodge as a place to stop for lunch. We weren't disappointed by the views. Stunning scenery and a very pleasant spot to have a bite. Service however was VERY slow, even by Ugandan standards - we waited over an hour for...

Tourist lodge near the Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. Pleasant bandas with en suite showers and flush loos. Food good and plentiful. Staff warm, friendly and attentive. Lovely pool with a superb view over the Rift Valley with the peaks of the Ruwenzoris in the distance. Well placed for the QE National Park.Nearby walks to crater lakes. We...

I had read some of the previous reviews, but decided to book anyways. I then wrote to the manager who assured me I should not worry, everything would be taken care of. He was wrong. First we were put in a room that didn't have a view. The main reason to stay here was for the view and there were...

Honestly, you cannot charge 230 USD just for a good view. The terrace is great, the pool overlooking Queen Elizabeth National park is great, same counts for the balcony of our cottage - i have never had such a great view on a national park. But then, the driveway to the lodge in a terrible state, staff is nice but...
