Our room was a cool, quiet and beautiful oasis to the exciting, hectic and hot streets of Stone Town. The management really understands the importance of training its staff to go above and beyond, which every person we encountered at the Kisiwa House did for us. I can't recommend highly enough.

We stayed at Kisiwa House in Mid January for 3 nights and what a delight it was. Our room was big, clean had a comfortable bed and a nice large bathroom. We enjoyed eating both our breakfast and dinner on the rooftop dining area with a view of the ocean. The food was very good and there was plenty of...

We had a short but enjoyable stay at Kisiwa house. TrueAfrica facilitated our airport shuttle and a smooth booking process which meant we were left to ourselves to wonder the streets of Stone Town and relax back at the hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights - the last of a 3 week holiday in Africa. Our room was on the 1st floor and very comfortable. Lots of shuttered windows looking out over the alleys and rooftops of Stone Town. The bathroom was large. I don't like bath shower combinations but otherwise it was good. Breakfast was on the top...

We splashed out on a Junior Suite but it was a waste of money. In a different part of the building, the suite had a local byway along three sides of it meaning that people and motorbikes were passing noisily by at all hours. It looked good on arrival, but closer examination showed that it wasn't possible to get round...

The hotel is nice and charming / romantic, with old decoration. The rooms are quite large and the bathroom of our room even very large. Proximity of the facing houses, but this is the charm of the old town. Everything (boutiques, restaurants, etc) on a walking distance. Breakfast upon request with nice fruits and juices, served on the last floor's...

A lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Breakfast was good and all served promptly. A few of the waiters were a little too chatty but not really a problem. Hotel was very clean and well run. Rooms were spacious. Had a good few days here.
