I loved the location of Zenji Hotel. While many hotels in Stone Town are in a central "tourist" area, Zenji's area feels more local and still has easy walking access to all attractions, ferry, night market, waterfront, etc. The staff are very helpful and accommodating and we loved the breakfast buffet. All breads, jams, and juices are homemade and delicious....

Arrived at the hotel around 6 am while the check-in was at 12, they were able to speedup the check-in by 45 minutes, which is not a lot but understandable considering the high season. Stayed in Spice Corner room, hot water, AC, smelled amazing of cardamon and cinnamon when we walked in. Slept very well during our two nights there....

We stayed 1 night at Zenji hotel and had a pleasant stay. We chose it because it's so close to the ferries to mainland. Clean, aesthetic, fan and air con and hot water. Staff are incredible friendly and helpful.

We were very happy with Zenji Hotel. The staff are all very nice and accommodating. The room had good air conditioning, was clean and comfortable. The restaurant had really good food for a good price. The location was very central and we walked everywhere. We were in Colours of Zanga room with a shared bathroom that was VERY clean. The...

On a busy street, but that wasn't any problem for us. It's conveniently located for the ferry and buses. Helpful staff. We left for the ferry, too early for breakfast so the hotel supplied a take away of fruit and bread.

Staff were all super friendly. They didn't all speak great English but they really tried and were always ready to help. Room was big, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very good. The in-room safe was too small to put an iPad in - but we weren't too worried about leaving it out. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I spent our two nights of our honeymoon here. This was the perfect hotel for us. The location is easy to find and it is easy to walk to the market, colonial alleys, night market, ferry, and dala-dala station. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, we never felt pressured by them to book activities through them...

If you arrive in stone town by the ferry from Dar just go left and write and in 5 min you are there. Rooms are clean and the owners think to every little detail: from a warm welcome with ibiscus juice to providing extra towel or earlier breakfast if you need. It is not the less expensive hotel but it...

We stayed at Zenji for 4 nights in the beginning if our honeymoon, and it was really good! I had read reviews about the noisiness of staying in the front rooms, and so when I arrived I asked to be in the back for the more quiet rooms and they told me they had put windows in to reduce the...

I had a lovely time staying at Zenji Hotel. It's very well located at Stone Town, the heart of Zanzibar, at a walking distance from the ferry that comes from Dar es Salaam. The hostel has 9 rooms that are just amazing, very comfortable, with a big area and a lovely decoration. Most of them have balconies, and they have...
