Unfortunately the view from the lodge into the Manyara National Park is very limited. The gardens are nice, the rooms comfortable, but withour AC or FAN - so during the peak hours it can get rather hot in the room. In our room we could not lock the door for the night - we had to put furniture to fasten...

After a bumpy ride down the entry road the lodge was a welcome site. The people were all helpful and friendly, the food was excellent with a great variety of choses. The room was bright and cheery with access to the outside through the sliding doors. It was a great place to start our safari, except for the road LOL.

loved this hotel and the location. They have an infinity pool overlooking Lake Manyara which is superb. The food was good and the rooms were very nice and clean. Would recommend it if you're in the area.

Had a very nice stay during our safari at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. After a very bumpy drive down a red dirt road we were happy to arrive. Our room (2nd floor) overlooked the infinity pool. Room was charming with a large bed, mosquito netting, and colorful decor. The restaurant was great with outdoor seating however food choices were...

After driving down the bumpy dirt track we did wonder where we were going to end up! First impressions of the hotel looked good but the first thing you notice is the décor. North Africa wood work. British type brick work, old gentlemans style leather sofa's Aztec style lamp shades and Old Orleans type piano and flooring with Texan hide...

On our recent safari we spent one night at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. The room was very comfortable and the food was well prepared and well presented, with the head chef on duty in the evening to explain the choices. The staff were very professional and friendly. It was a very enjoyable stay and the frogs croaking in the pond...

very large luxurious rooms, clean and comfortable, very good food, although western and not tanzanian local food. Hotel's location is great at the edge of the hill with terrific scenery. the gardens around the hotel are attractive with a lot of plants and colorful flowers. Efficient staff although sometimes "over" serving.

We only spent one night here, the last of our safari, but it was a great way to end our trip. The staff were very kind and attentive throughout the lodge. The food was great. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our only regret is that we didn't have time to relax in the gorgeous pool while the...

After a long dusty bumpy road from Arusha. Then the road leading to Serena is even more terrible. But once there, the hotel is an gem. Rooms are attractive with mosquito netting around beds. A balcony with 2 chairs overlooks the valley. Only 1 electrical outlet to charge Ipads, camera, cell phones. So bring an extension adaptor, along with African...

This hotel had an incredible location overlooking Lake Manyara. The infinity pool was just beautiful. There is a bar right at the pool so it is a great place to relax after a long day of game drives. The rooms are very nice and service is impeccable. We reserved a bush dinner and felt like royalty. The bush dinner was...
