This was the second stop on our first visit to South Arica, and we loved it! Unfortunately we didn't have the best of weather and experienced some heavy downpours (much needed in the area). However this didn't mar our stay. The rooms are very comfortable...More
This place is fantastic. The food was the best we had anywhere in South Africa, and the accommodation was brilliant. Our only sadness was that we had only booked for one night. Lovely staff, great tours on offer and excellent hospitality.

Dear Alan, yes is can be cold. However, typically our winter weather here has little or no rain during the months between April and October, and normally the days have clear blue skies with temps up to 25degC. The nights are usually chilly, with clear skies (and excellent stargazing) and temps dropping to 3-5degC. Making the fireside red wine all th more pleasant! Occasionally one of the bigger cold fronts that hit the cape reaches us and we can have a few days of cool overcast weather.
kind regards - Simon
