The location of The Cavern is amazing. You are surrounded by amazing views, which just go on for miles. The daily walks give you a great taster of the area- especially if you're only there for a short time like we were. The bedroom we had was a little run down. I don't think you could really bill it as...

What a magnificent Family resort celebrating its 75th year in existence and within the same family run business. It's well positioned within the Amphitheatre in Bergville. Great facilities and the staff are so well in tune in ensuring everyone has fun... For the Active visitors, the base sets you up magnificent Hikes into the mountains, Flyfishing for Trout in the...

We really enjoyed the days in the cavern. A lot of hiking trails around the resort were available. At the adventure desk the paths were shown and you could ask for lunch package. Also hiking through the Royal Natal Park was really great and nearby. Some rooms of the main house are a bit old fashioned but clean and comfortable....

We had a lovely stay at the cavern for two nights of our honeymoon. We would most certainly be back. The food, service and rooms are great, as well as the spa! We enjoyed the surrounding area, but would go for a longer period next time in order to explore more.

I had been to the Caverns about 30 years ago in another life and loved it. My husband and I live in Cyprus and were on holiday in SA visiting my family. We managed to get a vacancy and spent a wonderful 3 days. The ambiance, staff, everything was as I remembered and better. I really cannot find a negative. My...

Food was excellent. The layout of the complex is a bit confusing because with rooms tucked away around every corner but facilities were excellent, walking trails were well marked and would definitely recommend a visit to the forest spa.

Only stayed over for 1 night but had an amazing time! Arrived shortly before lunch on a beautiful day. Breathtaking views, welcoming scenery with the thatch roof, dogs and people dotted around the terraces awaited us. Check in was smooth. We had room 301 - a 3 bedroomed cottage that sleeps 6 - all with own bathrooms. Beautiful view from...

This was sheer luxury! The quality of the room, which was the last one of a row, very quiet and free, exactly what I needed, was only one of the things that pleased me very much. More: the excellent food, the super friendly staff, the very skillful guide who took me on a private walking tour, the full body massage...

When choosing holidays we look for beautiful sceneries, pretty decor and lots for our active toddler to do. Well, the Cavern has been the best yet!! With at least 5 different play areas, excluding the pool, our daughter was in heaven! And we all loved the short hikes around the Cavern - spectacular views in every direction. You feel tucked...
