Having read some recent uncomplimentary reviews about this hotel, I don't know where they were staying!?!

The hotel grounds and beaches were very well maintained by friendly staff.

The restaurants including a well catered buffet help yourself restaurant and four additional wait

We just come back from a 10 nights holiday at the Maritim resort. On the very first day sitting at the bar area on the straws chairs, My son, brother in law and I was bitten by some kind of bed bugs which they called (Pinese) in Mauritius. My son and I was bitten on both our arms

We stayed at the Maritim for 12 nights in December.

We researched a lot of hotels and decided on this one as we thought it matched our requirements best.

We stayed in a suite which was massive and very comfortable. It had a large living area and terrace. There were TV's in the

We stayed 10 nights & wished we had booked a two week trip because of the journey from the uk . The hotel is clean and well maintained . The setting is stunning and there are lots of places to sit and relax. We enjoyed all the a la Carte restaurants particularly the Banyan but bo

I rarely write reviews on TripAdvisor but I was very confused by the polarized reviews on here so in an effort to assist those who might book in future here it is...

This hotel is considerably cheaper than virtually all of the other 5 stars in Mauritius. That doesn’t make it bad

Hi there - we have upgraded to a Prestige Room, requesting a high floor. Are there sea views - any photo's? Many thanks Kathy
Hello. The hotel is slightly set back from the sea but the rooms will have partial view of the sea. The sun set from the beach bar is fantastic so you will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the fantastic beach setting. If you have upgraded you will get access to the private beach area which is great. This is a lovely hotel. Make sure you book the restaurants when you check in. Enjoy

Has anyone done the 5 island tour from this hotel? If so what did it include and what was the prices?
If you ask the very helpful and knowledgeable Melanie at the information desk she will help you plan your intended island tour. Alternatively you can contact MouriTours who are well known tour operators in Mauritius.

Hi dose anyone have any recent example menus or took pics of any with what's all inclusive and prices? And is it true that the stuff that is not all inclusive on the menus the hotel give you an allowance towards purchasing them?
Sorry I didn't get any snaps of the menus, but you're right, not everything is included on the All Inclusive deal. However there's only a few dishes which will require a supplement (half board only has about two items in each section included). If you're AI then you could have a decent meal in each restaurant without paying any additional. I wouldn't worry too much, unless you think you're likely to want the most expensive dishes frequently.

Hi there I sent an e mail via the website contact us page for a special request but have heard nothing . Does anyone know the email so that I can contact direct? Many thanks Kathy
I am not surprised that you are still waiting for a reply as I had similar experience to yours in that the hotel management are rather slow in picking up email queries. Hope you have better luck than I had.

Hi, we're visiting Maritim Resort during October, and wonder whether it's worth hiring a car when there to look round Mauritius or just go on some of the organised excusions?
We thought about hiring too but as previous reviews it’s not worth it, virgin guy ( sorry can’t remember his name) sorted it all out with a driver for the day, very knowledgeable very nice stopped when we wanted, stayed longer at some places, he was very cool. Just book a trip and tell the rep where you’d like to visit not too expensive, for an all day tour all the main attractions including a fantastic lunch & rum tasters in the distillery with all tickets paid for I think it was £230 for 3 people.
