My wife and myself have visited The Collyweston Slater a few times in the past, and always felt that the 50 mile round trip was worth the drive as the food, and service, has always been excellent. We went for Sunday Lunch on 26th March. We ordered our drinks at the bar, and informed the young lady that we had...

Stayed two nights and ate both nights in the restaurant. Accommodation was good. We stayed in the Harrod which was beautifully furnished, lovely and warm. Meals all very good with plenty of choice as there was a specials menu for us to also choose from. We didn't wait too long despite a very busy restaurant on the Friday night and...

We have only been here for Sunday dinner, but it is one of the best in the area. Roast beef is nicely cooked. Also a good choice of meat 4 in total. Staff seem young but very friendly. They also allow dogs in the bar area which is good after having a long walk.

Booked a table for a Saturday evening meal, and it is just as well, as the restaurant was packed full. The menu offered a reasonable choice, including all the usual pub favourites. I had a starter of black pudding and baked brie, which was delicious and came with a nice salad garnish, followed by Pigeon Kiev, which was also very...

A nice friendly welcome , shown to a table next to a radiator , this was a good nice choice as it was very cold outside. A varied selection of meals which were well presented and tasted fresh and wholesome. My only worry was there were no lights ( and I did really try to find a switch everywhere) for...

We eat here regularly as it's my brothers local but the food and service is great! Just had a sunday lunch and it was smashing! Prawn cocktail to start, very generous portion of prawns, two had pate and said it's the best around all homemade. I had a slice of lamb, beef and pork, roast potatoes were just the best...

After hearing lots of good things about the collyweston slater we thought we'd give it a try, 2 families, 4 adults and 4 boys, on a Saturday night. Lovely place inside as it's got a great feel about it, different zones, cosy, intimate etc, our biggest plus was the staff, ALL the staff were great, efficient thorough and couldn't do...
