La Palma hotel is situated in the beautiful mountains of El Salvador near the Honduran border of Ocotepe. The grounds are nice but if you go 2 kilometers further you will find Dos Pinos which is way more impressive with acres of land. La Palma's swimming pool was inoperable, a lot needs to be done to refurbish it and make...

If you are accustomed to staying in 5 star hotels with turn down service and terry cloth robes, do not come to El Salvador. If you want to experience this beautiful country without luxury, stay at the Hotel La Palma. The grounds are beautiful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It's cool at night in the mountains, so it was wonderful...

Old, dirty, over priced. I would not recommend staying here. The town of La Palma itself, is not worth an overnight. It would be enough to stop for one hour to see the painting. There are not really very many and the town is very small.

This is a super hotel. Friendly staff, lovely grounds with pine forest surrounding you. Decent size swimming pool. Great breakfast. Centrally located for the town. Very pretty. Great value. La Palma style paintings.

A great place to spend a night or two, if you look for a bit of peace and quite. The price for a small room is fair (around 7.5$), and everything is green and peaceful around. Very nice place to stay on a hammock and recharge your batteries. IMPORTANT - there is one ATM in the town and usually it...

We stayed here one night, and for the price ($42 for a private room with bathroom, which is double what we normally pay, for accommodation that is better than this place). The sheets didn't fit the bed. The doors and windows are not mosquito-proofed. There are holes and tears in the bed linen. And we couldn't get wifi in our...

I stayed here for two nights at a single room. The owner Mr. Salvaror gave me a room at a discounted price (USD 10/night). The beautifully painted room was small but clean with a private bath. What I liked most was it faced woods. It felt like a resort (it had a swimming pool, too) when I was lying on...

We traveled for have a Congress Meeting in there every year and we have the same good experience with the Hotel. It has confy little rooms for the guest with their own bathroom; every room is next to the other in 16 pretty rooms in one cabin, the cabins are like 4-6 of them, so it has plenty of room...

Not sure why this is listed in San Ignacio as it is definitely in La Palma. We stayed longer than intended due to illness and negotiating a better rate but it was a good place to relax. The walls are covered in the famous local murals and are very bright and colourful which helps brighten the dark rooms. Our room...
