Just passing by on Sunday and saw the sign from the road saying The Angel inn so thought we'd give it a try. It wasn't to busy so got a table straight away. Service was very good there was quite a bit on the menu and a specials board plenty to choose from but we both had the roast beef it was very nice. Then we went for deserts l had the pecan cheese cake and my husband had the pavelova but it did not state on the menu it contained alcohol, he wasn't sure so l tasted it and said l could tast alcohol in it, so l asked the waitress she said I'll ask the chef her reply from the chef was it's only in the cherries and the alcohol content isn't enough in it to state it on the menu, l didn't want to make a thing of it but any dish that contains alcohol however the amount should state

Hi Jackie! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review - we're so glad you enjoyed your beef! We'd like to apologise for the misunderstanding - we stated on the menu that the cherries were 'griotine' cherries (soaked in Kirsch) to avoid any mix up. Upon booking, a team member should check if any of your party have dietary requirements. Just let someone know of your Husband's intolerance & we can ensure that you're notified of any ingredients that may not be suitable. We look forward to seeing you again soon, Huge thanks again, The Angel Inn team.

We arrived earlier than expected at this sympathetically, tastefully and recently refurbished pub/hotel in the middle of a very busy Sunday lunch service, and were warmly greeted by all members of staff. We wanted a light lunch and a few glasses of wine but the place was fully booked, however our name was put on a table and we were very soon able to enjoy a lovely light lunch and said glasses of wine. All the friendly staff we met were totally multi-tasking from front of house for the hotel, to reservations, to waiting and stoking the warming log fires! It would be wrong to name any particular member of staff as they were all so welcoming and friendly. During lunch we were occasionally asked when we would like to be shown to our room. The whole property is tastefully

My family and I stayed at the Angel Inn for my Stepdad's 60th birthday. The staff were so friendly, attentive and made it a birthday to remember. We had the pleasure of being served by Lily and Bobby who were very efficient and made our stay feel effortless, as they helped with taxi bookings and ensured we had a table in the restaurant to return to after enjoying a day at the Adnam's brewery. Bedrooms were immaculate and decorated beautifully. Breakfast and dinner were cooked to perfection and we have no faults at all about our stay at the Angel Inn. We can't wait to return. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

We stayed for one night on Monday. Our room, the bar and restaurant have all had a recent refurb and the whole place looks great and still retains the old charms such as log burner, brick walls etc. On check in we received a free room upgrade to their deluxe room with Jacuzzi bath which was a nice touch. We ate that evening in the bar and the food was fab, breakfast was really really good! Highly recommend a visit.

We had a a couple of days at the The Angel Inn, Wangford as mini honeymoon. The Angel is delightful, and very relaxing. We had excellent service from the moment we arrived. Holly, who was on duty with Rob, was amazing. The restaurant was excellent and we had two fantastic evening meals and breakfasts, top quality ingredients beautifully cooked, the food was just wonderful. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, the jacuzzi bath being a real bonus. The location is perfect to get out for nice long walks. The real deal breaker is the staff, they all seem so happy to be part of the team, nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait for our next visit. Thank you all.
