We spent a week at this hotel as part of group on an escorted tour. The service on this family run hotel was very friendly and they could not do enough for us. The quality of the food was the best we have had on an escorted tour with half board. They went out of their way to accommodate my wife's food allergy and made adapted dishes with no fuss at all.
The room we had had was beautiful with a lovely view over the garden. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was one of relaxation with excellent internal and outside areas with good furniture. Lovely pool.
Definetly worth a stay.

By chance we discovered this little gem in Ronchi.
I can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Everything was just perfect ( house, garden, pool, room with nice beds, curtains, bed covers and cupboards, bathroom, balcony, food, beach in a few minutes walking distance,....).
If I had to say something less positive I would mention the missing lift. Not for me but because of all the people who need one and would miss this place because of that.
The interior decoration is simply beautiful, with lots of flowers, nice pictures(some of them painted by the owner herself!), period furniture, romantic ivy in front of the windows, etc
But the most beautiful aspect is the soul of this place: the people!
Starting with a very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, trying to help in each and every aspect, over an excellent service in the restaurant/pool (thank you Bernardo for organizing the cake and your recommandations as well, thank you to the ladies who prepared us a nice breakfast on the day we were too late for the buffet) , via sweet room maids and a very gentle porter, to the owners: mother and daughter. Both of them very present (which I think is nice), gentle, classy and elegant, kind-hearted and welcoming. They really did and still do a great job. The history of the house is very interesting as well and to think they bought it in a very bad state to create such a wonderful place is just heartwarming.
Thank you for these lovely days! We will come back (inspite of the fact that the Morandi Bridge in Genua collapsed just a few minutes before we were going to cross it on our way back😱).

We spent our anniversary there and had a nice stay in this place; employers were very nice with us and we enjoyed the swimming pool and dinners at the terrace, but all the charm dissapears when we check the expenses in the final invoice and complain about some mistakes. In fact, we never signed the invoices as we trust in the correct way to act of the hotel , but one day we check the invoice of the lunch by chance and they charge the same salad with higher price, so from that moment we asked for the detail invoice of the expenses, which was taken in a bad way from them; also, we asked in advance for having breakfast somedays in the room with no extra cost and they agreed by email (written confirmation); however they charged 10 Euros for the orange juice as they say it was fresh (¿¿??), in spite of the fact that we asked to have the same breakfast that we used to take at the dinning room without any extra cost. Another example is that one day we had lunch later than the normal time and they put it in a bad way, in spite of the fact that we had lunch and dinner most of the days in the hotel, which is quite expensive. But, what I consider zero professionalism at all is the behaviour of what I guess is some kind of responsible (A woman with curly hair called Francesca): The day we left, she literally remained sat down in front of us texting with her cell at the sofa and did not say any word, neihter moved to stand up and say at least "Many thanks for your stay with us and hope to see you again very soon", taking into account that we paid around 3.000 Euros for a week there.....There are some details which makes the difference, and this one implies a total lack of professionalism. Too bad for them.

This is a really lovely old villa on an immensely long beach road, if you miss the small road signs you can easily go past it for several miles. In it's heyday I can imagine the Italian Families living here as it is both stately and impressive. Unfortunately, and I find it hard to put a finger on exactly what was wrong, it is now a bit something of nothing, neither a stately home nor an up-market Hotel. I did not like our room purely because of the size, which had been reduced to accommodate the extremely small bathroom in what appeared to be a large wardrobe. There is no lift and we were on the second floor. Loved the staircase though. The drinks and the food were very expensive but I did like the bed and pillows. The staff were both helpful, polite and full of information , they were definitely the best part of this stay.

Good beds, nice villa, rooms and swimming pool, but all that got completely spoiled by the two pushy owners.
The owners, brother and sister, were only in the hotel business for money, not because they enjoy it at all. Once we decided not to eat at the hotel anymore (because they charge 250 euro for a meal that we could get elsewhere for half the price and because they served one of our aperitifs with mould and never really apologised), the owners never really took much interest in us anymore. It was even as though they looked at us with contempt every time we left for dinner, especially since we said no every time they asked if we were having dinner there that night (and they asked that a lot, sometimes twice a day). Also, we had the feeling that they watched our coming and going all the time, which wasn't pleasant, since we almost felt limited in our freedom.
Besides that the location was awful, near the beach but there was no free beach near and the hygiene of the rooms was just OK.

Not quite good enough for me
Building solid enough and decor elegant...lots of artifacts/ paintings (hobby of the owner).Room spacious but with signs of needed repair.
Food not up to scratch...limited breakfast choice, despite buffet style service......dinner very changeable,....virtually no vegetables, loads of pasta, and the same fish reappearing on consecutive nights, masquerading under a different menu name.
The grounds were pleasant but the pool again showed signs of necessary repair....loose/ missing tiles round the edges etc....jacuzzi not operational.
Location somewhat out on a limb....precious little within a mile's walk. Limited shopping about half a mile away.
I am very puzzled that hardly anyone has left comment this summer/ autumn. Why? Who knows?
As we visited as part of a package tour, I don't know if the room price is competitive....certainly there are fabulous places to visit in the wider locality.....Carrara marble quarries, Lucca, Cinque Terre, Portofino etc....all splendid. But if luxury is something you crave, look elsewhere.

Totally different than the pictures. The room was too small and the decorations and furniture was too old. Also, we informed them that we needed to leave earlier like five days earlier but they insisted on deducting the full amount.
Bathroom was too old and didn't like the amenities that were put there.
Restaurants in the area are open in specific times only so if you arrive like 3-3:30 pm you have to wait till dinner time 7:30. Seriously, it was the lowlight of our trip.

What a wonderful world! We, family: Mum, dad, daughter 7 and grandmother 77 had the time of our life in this charming villa! No elevator? No problem for my mother - because of the sensational all over see view from our enormous terrace. The room decorated with style - not everybody's taste? I don´t want to share this top place but with people who appreciate this! The staff so friendly and helpful - from the first hello, till the long goodbye! People who appreciate books and culture (Thursdays in the backyard literature meetings). The garden relaxing and quite, the pool, the flowers, the decoration-wow! The service at the table from breakfast to dinner perfect! And dining outside in the garden surrounded by candlelight- magnificent! The sea - over the road! My daughter was treated like a princess . even got a book as a present! YES - there are still places like this in the world! Thank you -Grazie Signora Paola, Francesca and Ciro! The Costa Family

North of very expensive Forte dei Marmi & nothing close by, i.e. no evening passiagata; you are 'locked' to the hotel & the the sea.
A warm arrival with welcome prosecco (flat!) & a nice 'sea view' room with terrace. Pool & gardens are splendid. WiFi only worked in the hall and needed daily impenetrable codes. Then you need to complain that the WiFi isn't working & they find a way to switch it on.
Choice of inside dining room or garden dining & you might even be invited to eat in the conservatory to escape the kids.
Friendly helpful reception girls. Full/Half board guests eat off a comprehensive table d'hote menu changed every 2 days. The a la carte diners are treated preferentially & I don't just mean the food.
Food pretty good & substitutions allowed (I had asked for special diet, but no-one ever remembered unless I asked!), but earliest dinner from 8.00pm & takes a minimum of 2 hours.
Cheapest wine €25 and a long list of very expensive wines. 'Wine is my passion' said Ciro the owner. Perhaps he meant the wine profit. His sister Francesca smiled daily...
Family owned & run with the Mama in the background.
The hotel recommended the beach club Bemi a little further along, but as they could give NO reason, we went to Carol with WiFi. The best beach club & the best beach club lunches we have experienced in 15 years. The owner Christina was a joy to deal with. She should have been at €35 a day for an umbrella, 2 chairs & 1 bed. Shame the sea was so rough for 7 days that we couldn't swim in it!
Handy if you have a car for coastal or hilltop excursions & Pietrasanta has much improved in the last 15 years!
Could be nice for a family or honeymoon couple with plenty of money. I think you need a car.
