Centrally located when visiting Westchester yet quiet with a sophisticated air. It is easy to access all the lovely hamlets while retreating to this serene location. As others have indicated, it is a bit rambling, but area parking lots make accessibility easier than expected. Amenities are top notch and even include bathrobes for added comfort. The historical photos capturing local...

We stayed one night at Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson on 2/25/2017. Upon the check in we were asked to provide a credit card with authorization to charge $80 for “incidentals” even though we already had paid for the room online and didn’t anticipate to use the hotel’s restaurant or a minibar (btw. There’s none – just $6 bottles...

I've stayed at Tarrytown House many times over the years, and keep coming back for its beautiful, peaceful setting. My most recent stay was 4 nights, and as usual, I was very happy with my stay. On this stay, I was thrilled to see that the hotel has once again re-opened the parking lot closest to the Rockland wing for...

This property is very nice but the room was more like a motel room. I guess I was thinking it'd be more like a B & B. The mansions on the property were beautiful but our room wasn't in those but located in a 1970's constructed annex. Enjoyed the towns of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown, they were quaint and had...

Perhaps I should have known but we really expected an "estate" experience. All of the rooms portrayed when booking, do not have that "old world" charm and I think only very few rooms here actually do. This place is far from old fashioned or charming. The rooms are no different than staying at a standard Marriott or similar. We decided...

Just a short ride from the city - 45 min! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and refreshing coming from the city chaos. Outdoor AND indoor pool and jacuzzi are such a great added bonus. The plan was to find a (reasonably priced) hotel with an indoor pool that was close to the train from NYC in a cute town that we could explore as well, and this hotel is what we came up with. Drove up from Brooklyn to spend the weekend here for my birthday. Staff was accommodating, grounds were nice, and food was good. The rooms were just ok, nothing spectacular, but clean and comfy. The hot tub and pool area was nice. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a mini escape.
