This property is not well run or well maintained. We arrived to find garbage piled up in front. We then passed an assortment of old furniture, hardware and tools piled along the path to our room. The room itself faced the backyard, which also contained piles of similar items. Needless to say, the view was spoiled for us. The room...

My children and I were completely delighted with the suite at Victorian Villa on Staten Island. The hosts were gracious and accommodating. The rooms were charming, functional and clean. The neighborhood was friendly, easy-going and we always felt safe. Almost immediately the kids started calling the suite "home" and rightfully so as we felt at home. The amenities provided for...

Staten Island is one of the 5 New York City Burroughs and makes visits to Manhatten both affordable and easily accessible. The Victorian Apartments are located within a 10 minute walk to the FREE Staten Island Ferry that plies the waters between these two burroughs a minimum of every half hour 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. New York is a fantastic city so don't let the exorbitant accommodation prices stop you visiting - Victorian Villa has charming and great value apartments only a short walk from the ferry terminal. Our friendly host was there to meet us and see that we settled in and was only a phone call away if any problems had arisen. The...

It seemed like an almost impossible task to find a place in NYC that would house 3 people, and be within my budget. When I found the Victorian Villa, and they had an apartment for $100, I was skeptical. What a wonderful surprise. Our apartment overlooked a lush, well cared for yard that had wicker furniture just beckoning us to...

Delightful! My husband and I frequent New York and we will always stay at Victorian Villa. Our little Yorkie is a pampered and welcome guest, too. The neighborhood is quiet but steps from our fave nightclubs and restaurants in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. We strongly recommend the loft with a fireplace and private deck overlooking the garden. Romance is rare...

Upon our arrival at the apartment, which is situated in a seedy part of the town with overflowing garbage bins in front of the house, we immediately noticed several things wrong. One of the kitchen barstools was broken and the entire seat fell off when touched. It was removed and we were not given a replacement. The lightswitch dial for...
