Great back drop for old Borscht Belt Jewish Catskills Resort photos.....urban exploration and site seeing. However, jokes aside. Its abandoned and in such disrepair you can't enter the buildings as some have 2-3 floors fallen into the centre of the structure. They are bull dozing stuff daily. It will all be a memory soon enough.

While its technically unfair to rate a place that's been closed about 18 years now I do want to share some memories. My father grew up vacationing at The Pines Hotel & continued this tradition when he had a family. We would come here once, sometimes twice a year up to just before they closed (usually alternating between here and...

Not sure which room we stayed in since there was no door. But the pool was awesome !!! You could spend hundreds of dollars a night for 'amenities' at those "other" places if that's your bag. Here I guarantee there wont be any bratty little children to get in your way. chekout the boom boom room

Unfortunately, this place is closed ... and looks like a war zone now. Some of the old buildings are completely gone. I'm guessing they started demolishing the place and for some reason stopped ($$). The buildings left are very unsafe and they're collapsing in on themselves. Definitely not a vacation destination anymore ... and not a safe place to wander...

As others have said it is very quiet here. Has a weird smell of mold and earth. I can imagine it in its hay day. Rugs are a lovely earthy color of green. Wall paper a bit outdated. No wi-fi in rooms or on the grounds.

This resort has been closed for years. It is sad that someone would post something last year as a joke review. It was a fun place for good old fashioned family fun, about 20 years ago. We would go and the kids would have their "camp" friends, family dinners in the dining room and then a show at night. Activities...

Really relaxing atmosphere. Quiet and not very noisy. It was a self serve hotel, according to other reviews who claim the place 'dirty' with a lack of staff were just misinformed. It is not a modern experience here and is for those who can handle themselves. If that is you it is and you don't mind bringing your own water,...

I recently stayed here with two buddies of mine and let me tell you, this place does not even deserve one star. There was no service in the entire place, not an employee to be found, so I assumed it was all self service. Now I'm not a very picky person, but self service in a hotel is not acceptable....

The hotel was dirty, there were not many staff on duty. We waited for 5 hours for our food to come and when it finally came it was stale and moldy. We were the only guests there. There also must have been a power outage, because there was no electricity or hot water. There was also lots of strange drawings...
