First of all, let me say that Sharon Springs is a community struggling to rise from the depths of decay and abandonment. I had been through there years ago, and the derelict hotels with curtains blowing from broken windows and the overgrown properties fascinated me like ghosts of a prior age. Now we had a chance to go back and...

Across street from abandoned property, musty smelling, creepy decor. My companion checked the shower immediately upon entering the room -- thoughts of Bates Motel! Black velvet bedspread. A million miles from civilization. If this is your thing, go for it!

Currently we are in a resurgance and renovation with many new businesses and visitors to our great little community. This does mean...

We were in Sharon Springs for the Harvest Festival weekend and were thrilled with the warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations and delicious breakfast we received at the New York House. In addition, the proximity to "downtown" Sharon Springs was perfect.

My first experience at a Bed and Breakfast. It was the most wonderful nights sleep and the best breakfast ever. The Host and Hostess are kind and welcoming. They have set a very high standard for any future B & B I should stay at. Next visit already scheduled. A must try!!!
