We stayed here for a long weekend while attending the HITS horse show. This fascinating place is hidden from the road and I cannot believe I have driven right past for so many years. There were 4 of us in the tudor room and it is lovely, like an old English hunt club type atmosphere. Our room was a part...

We stayed for 2 nights in the "chateaux room" which is very comfortable with a queen sized bed. The innkeeper was very involved with making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, even brought us champagne upon arrival at 10 PM! The grounds are beautiful, it is tranquil and private and breakfast was delicious with home made yogurt,...

We were planning to once again go to Levon Helm's Ramble in Woodstock ( please support this venue even without Levon Helm as a tribute to his memory, His daughter and Larry Campbell's band are great) and could not find a place to stay. Lucky for us we found the Saugerties Bed and Breakfast. We recently stayed in the Chateau...

Had such an amazing stay here! Looked all around for a place that seemed right, my boyfriend and I had an incredible time. Swimming in the pool, walking the grounds, relaxing on the porches, basking in the view....quiet and sweet. Breakfast made by Josepha was so delicious!! Can't wait to go back!

If you are looking for a Hilton, then stay at a Hilton. The nearest one is in Kingston. If you are looking for an incredibly beautiful and unique place, then stay here. There is something special about this place. Our family stayed here to attend a family wedding nearby. We loved being able to sit on the back porch and...

My best friends and I wanted to pry ourselves from our significant others and focus on one another for once, and decided a weekend away in upstate New York would be really different and fun. I am so glad I found this inn because by the end of the weekend we were so happy and relaxed - it really was...

every married couple and family should have the experience of the two lovely, yet diverse, rooms. they are unique and mutually excessible, when necessary. privacy is also available. the host, Josepha, does everything she can to provide a magical experience which can only be surpassed by the views of grass, trees, river and mountains from the privacy of the back...

We had a wonderful experience here. The room was extraordinarily well appointed down to every detail and then the doors opened out to a view of the mountains. The hosts were very kind and comforting and welcoming. I also took advantage of the pool which was a pleasure. Charm and comfort at a reasonable price, also very romantic. We will...

Proprietor/hostess was charming and the vintage property and grounds were beautiful, but it is puzzling that the price for both rooms is the same when they are not in the least comparable. Tudor was comfy but Chateau was tacky, bathroom was not adequate and shower was so narrow that if you dropped your soap it was not possible to bend...

Management response:

We strive to create a sublime, joyous, unique, and extraordinary environment in every way. And with deep regret we realize that there was, in your case, a misunderstanding about housekeeping and the availability of breakfast. Breakfast is always available! and served privately for each room. (Many of our guests prefer not to have to socialize with strangers.) Cleanliness is always...

“We stayed in the Chateau room”

“Chateau room's outdoor green space (and breakfast area) is in full sun, while the Tudor room has an open air outside area. While uncovered, it has the better view of the grounds and further from the pool.”

“Both rooms are special. A couple will enjoy the Chateau while two double beds make the Tudor room a choice for larger groups. Both feature private outdoor spaces!”

“The Chateau Room is cozier, and ideal for a romantic weekend. The Tudor is spacious, boasts a beautiful fireplace, and is perfect for an extended stay.”

“I would recommend the Chateax room as opposed to the Tudor if it is summer as the aircondition in the Tudor is not sufficient and needs vigilence”
