actually, we got here by mistake, looking for the red ranch, and the most telling this we can report here is that the shampoo was expired by two years... really, this place needs a lot of work and the checkin, while friendly, can be confusing... in the long run everything worked but we can not recommend this to the fastidious

Don't expect the Waldorf and you won't be disappointed ! My husband and I stayed here while touring the many attractions the area has to offer....the price was right, the accomodations comfortable, the staff pleasant and helpful... no complaints here!

My fiancée and I stayed at the Red House Inn in Saugerties, NY: 7/18/14 - 7/24/14 while visiting family. We had a difficult time finding a hotel room due to a large horse show taking place in town. The Red House Inn had availability, close to our family, for $74.95 / night. The couple who ran the location were very...

My brother and I needed a place to stay while bow hunting (he goes every year, I'm new to archery myself), and unfortunately our budget wasn't very good. For the price, this place was solid: warm, comfortable, and no noise or hassle being just outside the busier sections of town. Got my first black bear!

We headed to the Catskills on a spur of the moment trip, showing up in the region without accommodations. After calling 20+ places (B&Bs, hotels, motels..), this place was the first we found with a room. Well, that's what you get on a Saturday night during peak foliage season... On the outlying borders of Saugerties, the Red House Inn is...

The staff was friendly enough. The linen was clean as far as I could tell although worn and pilly. It is an elder Asian couple that runs it as far as I can tell. It looks like they have tried to do repairs and renovations within a budget but it has a long way to go. We rented two rooms...

The website makes it look like a nice enough mom-and-pop spot, but when we arrived it was clear that we should have maybe gone there in person first to inspect it. It was absolutly the most filthy, musty, humid, uncool place ever. And I have stayed at plenty of cheapie, no-frills places! This was quite the nightmare. Dirty carpets, trash...

We.paid $60 for one night. It is a retro style hotel run by a friendly staff. I don't think Adrian Monk would enjoy it.

My friends and I wanted to go hiking in the Catskills so we came across this little motel in Saugerties. We don't like chain hotels that usually charge way more for what little you get. This place was a neat little find, pretty quiet, and the rooms are cabin-like. We didn't really know what to expect, but we found the...

This was absolutely the worst place we have ever stayed at. I can't believe we actually stayed the night! I was ready to sleep in the car. Old, old, old with garage sale furniture - musty. The chair outside our door actually had no seat! If we weren't so exhausted, we would have left immediately. I slept in the chair...
