We just happened to end up here and now we can't imagine staying anywhere else in the area! The fantastic Craftsman style house has a nice mix of original fixtures and modern amenities and the hosts, Emily and Jack, are the best hosts. For a house built in 1911, the house is remarkably quiet- there were two other families staying,...

We came in to this B&B late on a july sunday, without reservations, and Was warmly greeted by Jack who drove down the hill to drive our luggage up. Once inside we were in another world, filled with all Jack and Emilys memorabilia it felt like my grandfathers home. My wife and I loved this place. Bathrooms and everything are...

We stayed at this B&B last summer for 3 nights and had a fantastic cycling holiday. This is the best place to stay, no fuss great breakfast and Jack is the most wonderful host full of information and knowledge. The house is perfectly situated and if you are into cycling there are wonderful challenging routes from this destination.

My girlfriend found their website and called. I was nervous, not being a social butterfly but excited to try something new. We arrived late, but the house was warm and everyone seemed to be in bed. Found instructions on the front table and slid into bed. It's a really beautiful house. Not sterile and bland, but an actual lived in...

Young couple here- took a shot in the dark choosing Fogarty's B&B for our short stop through Adirondacks and we were very pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and fantastic service at Jack and Emily's. We felt at home immediately. Jack had great suggestions for day trips and dining, room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed...

LOTS of steps to get to the home from road below, but once you've made it, it's worthwhile. Warm hosts, good breakfast. Lots of charm in the 1910 cure cottage. There are three floors (more steps) but we only took in one overnight case to cut down on hauling heavy luggage upstairs. We only stayed one night since we were...

The home is quite nice but be sure that you can climb the steps to the house and just carry what you need.as you leave your car on the street.. Jack the owner was a very nice, friendly man. His wife , however , hardly spoke to us when we arrived and didn't even greet us at any time when...

This is our 14th year at Jack and Emily Fogarty's historic home. The house feels like home because of them. Beautiful views of Lake Flower and the mountains surrounding Saranac Lake village. Peace and tranquility guaranteed. Walk to bars and restaurants. Canoeing, kayaking and hiking easily accessible. Formerly a tuberculosis "cure cottage." Breathe the fresh air that put this town...

My husband and I spent one night on July 4th at Jack and Emily's place. Everyhing was great: the location : 5 minute walk from downtown Saranac Lake, and yet quiet and isolated from the noise and incomfort of the city. A beautiful view over Lake flower. A nicely decorated house with lots of photographs that make you imagine who...

We stayed in the Blue Room last night. It's a beautiful big house originally used for tuberculosis patients (as are many of the houses in Saranac Lake). Loads of wood trimming and paneling and lots of neat things to look at. Be warned that there are 73 steps to reach the house. The main floor has a large living room...
