Spent a weekend in the main house with family and a good friend. Our group had 3 rooms. All our rooms were spacious with personal outdoor space. Everyone said their room was spotless! Maggie took such good care of us. My niece enjoyed feeding the horses and chickens, and fell in love with Pearl the host doggie. Breakfasts were generous and delicious (fresh eggs and hot muffins), so we were never hungry for lunch. Loved the table with desserts (pie, tarts, cake, brownies) and the fireplace in the living room. My friend and I also took some good walks on the property and down the road. Loved it so much I’m headed back up again with hubby in a few weeks. My little niece is similarly plotting another visit. Location was also great for having dinner downtown and day trips for antique shopping and hiking.

This farm is a rare find and exactly what we wanted! Beautiful location on a farm with horses, chickens, dogs, cats and a donkey! The carriage house was spacious enough for 5 of us yet super cozy with a real western mountain lodge feel. Maggie our host was so nice and accommodating, welcoming us with fresh local flowers, homemade banana bread, chocolate chip cookies and a dozen eggs from her chickens. Close to town with great restaurants yet you feel miles and miles away from everything. Two wonderful stone Fireplaces which we had going the whole time making our yoga sessions, board games and wine time even more cozy. We will definitely come back with our spouses and take over the main house rooms too! Oh and Maggie makes a mean breakfast, all delicious and so welcoming. Such a wonderful 3 nights snd 4 days!!!

We did a weekend getaway here and loved everything about it! Maggie is a wonderful hostess, and her breakfast offering was the best!!!! Eggs cooked to order (from her own chickens), bacon, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit, homebaked items and my personal favorite, Maggie's buttermilk cornmeal pancakes..... Oh, and then there is the 24 hour "desert table" with homemade pies, brownies, donuts and more... We loved her funky, rustic decor... And the farm is just a few minutes away from super charming Rhinebeck for shops and lots of great restaurants.... Highly recommended; we will be returning!!!

After months of laying low in New York City, my husband and I decided to venture out, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place than WhistleWood Farm. It is a beautiful setting, and the rooms are lovely. There are two sitting rooms with fireplaces for guests to cozy up in with a good book. Maggie, the owner, is warm and welcoming and a great cook - her breakfasts are delicious, made with fresh eggs from her own chickens. It was lovely sitting on the porch with a cup of tea and a piece of homemade banana bread, watching the horses in the nearby fields. Saturday night, under an (almost) full moon, we sat around the fire pit making s'mores and getting to know the other guests. It was a delightful stay - we are already planning our next visit. Thank you, Maggie!

Whistlewood is a gem! A beautiful, serene farmhouse with lovely decorated rooms, Full country breakfast made by the owner and innkeeper Maggie. The farmhouse is quiet, well appointed, and there is a farm table always full of pies and other goodies as well as fresh fruit for you to nibble on at any time. Everywhere you look there are little surprised to be found, both inside and outside. The grounds are just lovely! you can sit on a quiet porch, at the fire pit at night, walk around and chat with all of the animals in the pastures. There is also a trail behind the rock wall that you can hike/walk. Bed and room was very comfortable--we stayed in the Wyoming room, Maggie is a terrific host. She is knowledgeable about the entire area and can direct you to great restaurants and activities. I highly recommend Innisfree Garden and Mills Mansion grounds. The village of Rhinebeck is 5 or so minutes away where you can find great shops and restaurants. The Rhinebeck performing arts center is right down the road next door.
