We spent 4 nights in #5 and we were glad to have the additional space, small frig, coffee maker. Bed comfortable, nice linens and well designed small bathroom. Appreciated lack of carpet and key pad as key. We will return. Only disappointment was lack of screens - I felt like we were in Europe not NY. Road noise could be an issue for light sleepers so bring earplugs. Great location for exploring Hudson River area. Trish was very helpful in arranging to have a package delivered. Motel is definitely a special find.
So happy I found this little gem! Easy to find, conveniently located and recently remodeled, so everything is clean! We were in room 6, with 2 comfortable queen size beds. Floors are vinyl plank so no gross carpet, bathroom was adorable with large shower, large bottles of amenities to share, hair dryer, 6 towel sets (great to have extras when no front desk on site). Mini fridge with juice boxes in main area along with another sink and a mini breakfast bar with fruit, cereal, coffee, tea. Heat worked, well lit, ample parking, iron, ironing board available in room. Recycling bin along with garbage. All in all an excellent place to stay for a reasonable price. Highly recommend and check out CJs for pizza and Annabelle’s Village Bake Shop for breakfast if you want more than what’s I your room! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…
I was not expecting too much from this small and inexpensive motel, but was so surprised! I stayed there with my granddaughter last weekend. the room was large, very clean and quite modern. The bathroom was so beautiful we both wished we had it at home. The best was the surprise breakfast! there was a fridge, microwave, Kurig coffee maker, teas, those cereals in cups, milk, yogurt and bananas!!!!! And the bed was sooo comfortable! I will definitely be staying here in the future!
If you judge this by outward appearances you're doing yourself an injustice, this place is spotless & completely remodeled. The beds were very comfortable & linens fresh as were the towels. There's a mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker. The bathroom was one of the nicest I've seen anywhere, you just have to see it! The kicker for me was that the fridge comes stocked with milk, yogurts & water and there were even bananas & cereal for breakfast. Where else do you find that? It may not be right in town but it's a short and the Municipal parking lot is FREE. It's also located close enough to Red Hook & their diner is awesome as well.
The pluses: Well located for both the Hudson Valley art sites and the FDR / ER historical sites Second sink (in room #5) / Breakfast items provided / Very reasonable rates The negatives: Strong musty burnt smell from heating unit / very limited counter space in bath No hanging space - just coat hooks along one wall Inconsistent service - sometimes breakfast items & paper products were replenished, other times not / no staff on site
