80 minute drive (from westchester) to paradise in RBK. a wonderful new asset for Rhinebeck. beautifully designed, superbly staffed (shout-out to billy at the front desk) and abundant activities and things to do in the area. just go there and relax and enjoy. my wife and I met our daughter and family for brunch on Mother's Day then the two of us stayed over till Monday. the staff could not have been more hospitable and helpful. every where you turn you are impressed with the details and quality of the property. our room had a simulated fireplace; two comfortable chairs and a table facing the fireplace and glass French doors that opened for a nice view. the bathroom and the overall design are right out of architectural digest. stunning. no detail too small. a very cozy library w fireplace to sit and relax and wonderful spa w whirlpool pool and more. restaurant has well prepared and plated dishes that are not outrageously priced. free convenient indoor parking and a one minute walk into RBK to shop or dine at a large variety of restaurants and cafes . highly recommended - you will unwind and truly enjoy the experience - you deserve it! be well. Hotel's Favourite
This place is a slice of heaven just 2 hours from NYC. The inn is beautifully decorated and quite spacious. Service was impeccable. Outstanding restaurant and lovely spa on site plus cute little shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Quick drive to several beautiful trail walks. Covid precautions were on point - temperature check upon checkin, masks at all times in common areas, plenty of hand sanitizer readily available throughout the facility, constant cleaning. We felt very safe. This was such a welcome break from the city.

For our first post-Covid get-away we opted for an easy drive to Rhinebeck (from Ct) seeking a mellow and authentic Hudson Valley weekend ..not knowing Mirbeau was actually a make-believe French Chateaux!

We visited here for a few days of spa services, relaxation, and dining to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. Good-sized room with chairs, large bath with soaking tub, and electric fireplace that gives off a nice glow. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Recommend staying on the top floor or somehow assuring no one is staying in the room directly above you. For our stay, the room above was occupied and we could hear the occupant seemingly trying to get his/her steps in for the day with stomping across the floor all during the day and evening, starting as early as 6:30 in the morning. Keep your clothes in your suitcase, as the chest of drawers is difficult to open/close. Having the forest view is worth an extra charge.

My wife and I are frequent visitors of Mirbeau and we have always been pleased with the spa, the accommodations the staff and the restaurant. Over the past 15 months we revisited Mirbeau 5 times. During covid this has become our getaway destination and have never been disappointed. We recommend the inn and spa to our friends and family however upon our last visit we did encounter an unacceptable experience. We were scheduled for the perfect getaway on the day after my 2nd covid vaccine and just needed to relax and enjoy the amenities. Unfortunately, there was a torrential downpour and as we were escorted to our spa services the power went out. Now we understand that this was no fault of the resort and the massages with our usual therapists were most enjoyable. With no generator we were then informed that we would not be able to relax and in the quiet waiting area and in fact had to leave the spa area abruptly and wait in the lobby prior to checking into our room. That did not sit well with us since the after effects of the vaccine left us tired and achy. All we wanted to do was relax and enjoy the benefits of our massages. We clearly did not. We were then informed that because of this inconvenience we would not be billed for our spa services. That was an acceptable gesture. We planned to return in June so a credit would be fine towards our next visit. We did not want the therapists to lose their wage and the spa manager assured they would in fact pay the commission to the therapists. All was good, we checked into our room and enjoyed dinner at Willow. Upon check out we were told there would be a 25% discount on the spa services which contradicted the prior offer to comp our services. This added tension to an already unperfect experience. Reception was very helpful however the spa would not reconsider comping the services from the day before. Checking out became an unpleasant experience, then a survey came to my email the next day. I wrote my thoughts on the survey just as I’m writing this review. Unfortunately, no none has responded, and 3 weeks have already passed. Hopefully they will reach out to us now.

Dear Guest, I apologize for the inconvenience. The power outages on Friday and then on Sunday created many difficulties for our Guests and our staff. I will follow up on the survey and the cost of your services. So that I can be accurate, it would be good if you could call our front desk here to provide your name and check out date. Thank you. Ed
