Why did the bathroom have no soap? Why is the property dark as night? Why are little areas not cleaned up? Why did I have to kill several stink bugs in the room? Why is the food in the restaurant so gross? Sigh.

I never write reviews, but I don’t see the point in having ratings, if they aren’t going to be accurate. My boyfriend and I stayed here because there is a “very good” rating, so we thought it would be decent. We were bike riding the next day, so we just needed a bed to sleep in for the night. No one was at front, the owner of the lodge finally showed up Al Gart. He told us the wrong number of the room, so we had to go back and get a new key. He seemed annoyed right away, and was rude to us when we told him the key didn’t work. When we finally enter the room, first thing I see is a bug on the carpet. It was a white carpet with stains all over it, did not look clean. The bed felt very uncomfortable, outdated room overall, and the front of the room is all glass. We did not feel safe with the people hanging outside of our door. We tell the owner we are not staying the night because we don’t feel safe, or that the place is clean enough and he tells us to call him in the morning. When we call him in the morning he says he has to wait to speak to his associate, to call back. We call back and he hung up on us and then just dodged the rest of our calls. Just stay at the Comfort Inn, it was a much more pleasant experience and clean.

The place is not bad, we went there with my family and had a good time. However, it is very outdated and not very well maintained. The basketball net was ripped, the pool water was clean but the filter was not working and the walls of the pool were pretty dirty. There was only one bbq and you pretty much had to beg other people who would occupy the bbq all day to let you use it. The play ground was ok. The staff was nice. Even though we asked for two rooms next to each other and were told they did not have them and immediately after someone else was given a room next to my parents (which could have been given to us and was not) not sure why, and not a big deal, but not very nice. Breakfast was literally a muffin, juice, cornflakes, and coffee. Their wifi was extremely weak and very spotty and no signal at all. There was no wifi pretty much other than in the main building by check-in. We had an ok time but we would probably not be back.

Terrible customer service: We had to leave after 1 night of a 2 night stay due to family emergency. The owner refused to budge on charging for both nights. Terrible room/bed: furniture was stained and/or torn, and the bed was worse than a sleeping bag on the ground. Stay anywhere else.
