We stayed at the Windjammer for the first time going home to visit family. We usually stay up the road at a different hotel, but I found this and it was less expensive. We found the Windjammer to be more up to date and really clean. It was a nice touch to have a microwave and fridge in the room.This...

We traveled up to Ogdensburg for a wedding, so this was a quick one night trip. The wedding started at 4PM so I called to be sure we could check in early and they said check in started at two, so that was perfect. We arrived at 2:10 and were greeted by a friendly front desk man. WE had two...

The office manager was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area, he offered us many suggestions on places to eat and to explore. The room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the breathtaking sunset view over the St. Lawrence river.

I visit the Ogdensburg area a few times a year. The Windjammer has become my new place to stay while I'm there. The rooms are nice and comfortable and I've really enjoyed the outdoor pool in the summer months. Perhaps the biggest enjoyment is the view you get over the river.

Unbelievable view - peaceful and pretty next to the river. Loved the room, the beds were very comfortable; room was clean, with plenty of space; fridge and microwave were helpful; BUT our room smelled of smoke and the room backing up to us must have had a smoker in it because it smelled like someone was in our bathroom lighting...

We are so pleased that your room & visit was as comfortable and enjoyable as you stated. We are a 100% non smoking lodge and wish only that you had let us know when you first smelled cigarette smoke so that we could have addressed the issue then, instead of having you exposed to it for a second night. We...

My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in his hometown of Ogdensburg, NY, an old city located right on the St. Lawrence Seaway and not far from the Bridge to Canada. We wanted an affordable place right on the river and found the Windjammer Lodge. It is an older hotel and quite rustic but was perfect for us....

This might come across as a bad review but it is not. Steve was very friendly. He was more than willing to make our stay a pleasant one . I did have AT&T, and I had service. We had 3 rooms. Two of the rooms were good, however room 39 seemed to have all the problems. We had the view...

The bulky heating/cooling unit in our room did not allow adjustment of the heat outflow. It was either hot or hot. The original shower had separate hot and cold valves that required exquisite adjustment to find the correct temperature except on the morning that there wasn't enough hot water. Worst of all the hotel was in a dead zone without...

This place is situated on a great little plot of land right on the beautiful St. Lawrence. It's location/view is tough to beat, as long as you get a room facing the river, and not Rt. 37. (The owners kindly moved us to a river-view when a spot opened-up sometime after I had made my original reservation.) There's an old...

Recent (Oct 2013) 2-night stay. Owners need to pick up the pace and start noticing (and fixing) "the little things" that impart an immediate negative impression. Our room was equipped with a mini-kitchenette (not sure if all are) including a 2-burner electric stovetop, microwave, sink and under-the-counter fridge. Hmmmm.... where to start? The drip pans under the burners looked like...
