The room is very basic and fine. Management was efficient in resolving a few problems that arose but, especially at peak times, there must be someone at front desk earlier and later, than scheduled. However, there is an up to date phone number at the door.

The room is minimalist and you share a bathroom (with key for hotel residents only). But there was never a problem within the hotel with anything. Our room, albeit small was very clean and comfortable and had a sink, a little furniture and a closet (no TV). We had no issues with noise -- other than the noise outside in...

I had a terrible stay here over the weekend. I saw other reviews that said that this hotel was noisy so I made sure to call before my stay and ask about the noise. The hotel staffer who I spoke with was very rude and condescending, but she assured me that the room would not be loud or over the...

This place is all about location, lets be honest here, if you're going to go to Fire Island it won't be for the rest and relaxation. Fire Island is a happening place, great for singles and couples looking to have a fun adventure at the beach where driving doesn't exist and the only way to get in trouble is being...

I've never backpacked around Europe. But people tell me that the accommodations at Housers is like that. Here's what you get: a room with key, a bed or two (ours had a double and a twin and two windows overlooking the bay, or down at the restaurant patio below), a sink between the beds, an window air conditioning unit, some...

Housers is basically like a hostal. For those of you that never stayed in one as a lot of people who dont travel outside the U.S. never have, there are very small rooms with essentials only. The toilet in the room was barely enough space to close the door but it worked fine and was cleaned. Showers were shared and...

Housers is perfect for the value. Small but pleasant....only needed a room to sleep. Food was excellent and servers were courteous. Location was great. Water taxi next door. Bring your own water and beverages as everything in ocean beach is nearly 30 the price.

Stayed overnight and did not sleep the entire night. There was a very loud bar directly beneath my room with a LIVE BAND. I should have figured it out when I found two pairs of earplugs on the bureau. The room smelled of mildew. This hotel completely ruined what would have been a nice experience on Fire Island. Would not...

we visited ocean beach ovrr memorial day weekend and tried the lobster special at housers. Its adjacent to the island mermaid and has a nice bsr some outdoor benches on the bay and naked for one heck of a bay view dining area that is laid back and relaxing.
