Great room, lots of space. Close to great shopping and restaurants. It is definitely a climb, but Ben helped us with our luggage going up and down so he made it easier to make the climb. He was so kind as was the full staff. I highly recommend these suites.
Booked the transport to meet us at the ferry port and a man from the hotel was at the car drop off point waiting for us. He carried our suitcases to the hotel down the steps and slopes for us. The hotel is just beautiful in every single way. The room we had was just lovely, it was built into the cliff and the shower was huge. We didn’t have a hot tub but we certainly had the most stunning view. The butler service at breakfast was amazing served to your balcony by an absolutely lovely waiter who was really kind and took pictures of us. His service was on time with the food being lovely, hot bacon and eggs, toast and jams, coffee, cereals and fruit juices. The time and breakfast you book when you arrive and this stays the same the whole time you are there unless you change it. The pool was 98 steps down from our room but once there it was amazing, Never over crowded and we got chance to talk to other people from Canada, America and Ireland which was nice. To offer drinks or food you ring from a poolside telephone and the waiter brings them down! The bar staff were efficient and incredible working with a huge smile in such heat! For 60 euros for 2 people we had a 3 course evening meal delivered to our balcony with butler service and candles… this hotel was just perfect!!!! For 40 euros the hotel organised a moped for us, we went to Oia during the day and again back at night….Oia is the most beautiful place in the world and is a must see in Santorini…. We took the moped to the waters edge in Oia and had the most stunning mussels and shrimps … so fresh! Fira has more nightlife… if you choose Fira I totally recommend this hotel as we were treated so well and the location is the BEST!!!…
Our stay at Porta Fira was excellent. Beautiful rooms and the view was spectacular! Staff was friendly and helpful. Andreas and Angela were helpful with arranging excursions and directions. Dionisis at the bar was a wonderful mixologist and a great conversationalist. He made our stay so enjoyable. Not to be missed is the lamb chops. Done to perfection and the presentation was beautiful! Breakfast was brought to your room daily and was a great assortment of egg dishes, breads, sweets and fruits. Creamy yogurt with cherries and hot coffee with warm frothy milk. Delicious and a comfortable place to stay in Santorini.
Beautiful villas. We were two families so we had all three villas - a three bedroom plus 2 one bedrooms. The one bedroom villas have separate entrances and are up an exterior flight of stairs. It worked for our families because our kids are teenagers, with young kids it would be tough. The bathrooms are very Greek - mostly sit down shower heads. Sara was very good at making reservations and arrangements for us, even late at night. Breakfast is included and very plentiful - too much most mornings! The villa is down from most of the shops and restaurants, about a five minute uphill walk.
I can't speak more highly about this hotel. Sarah and Alex went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay possible. The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was our favorite meal we had in all of Santorini. And the ROOMS. They were great sized and both had a perfect view of the water. Sarah was available to help and recommended a cruise we took. It was one of the most magical things we did throughout our time in Santorini. I've never experienced hospitality like this. Truly, Alex and Sarah went above and beyond. I think back on my time in Santorini so fondly and so much of it was because of how wonderful our stay was at Porto Fira.
Although I was staying next door at the Athina Suites, I made reservations for dinner at the Fira Suites restaurant. It was outstanding. Starting with my conversation earlier in the day with Sarah the manager, I made an evening reservation for myself and two friends. We arrived at 7pm and our table was ready and beautifully set. The restaurant is small and very intimate in its design. Alex waited on us for the evening. He was great. He made excellent suggestions and had full knowledge of the menu. He recommended a nice bottle of wine for the table and his recommendation was excellent. There was also Angela who was the hostess. She was gracious and made us feel like we were special guests. Overall it was a wonderful evening and we will definitely go back again. Thank you to the team for making it a special night. Gary…
We are frequent travelers and have stayed in many hotels all over the world. We have never met a receptionist with such attitude. She needs to understand that whether customer service is in her DNA or not, it is her job to make a traveler feel welcomed in her hotel. Her sour attitude is very annoying to see at breakfast! Aside from this single receptionist, the hotel staff is very accommodating and the food service was excellent. We immensely enjoyed the room and the views.
Visited for drinks on the spur of the moment. Friendly barman who made excellent mojitos and served some tasty vin Santo. Thought we were going into the adjacent bar (Sperida) but realised our mistake when the menu arrived and stayed anyway. Pleased we did. Wonderful view. Reasonable value.
We just loved this classy little place. Pristine white suites scatter down the rocks, in Santorini style, and inside each is a cavern of uniqueness. The pool, with its own cave, sits infinitely over the half-moon bay & cluttered rocks. With the most amazing & helpful staff, why would you stay anywhere else? The sunset was perfect in July. Fira is cute & bustle, allowing us to decline the tourist lure of Oia. Steps on steps on steps will compensate for an over-indulgence.
Absolutely incredible!! Wonderful super helpful and friendly staff who make sure that you have everything you need at all times, fabulous clean rooms and a delicious breakfast served to your room every morning!! The view is spectacular!! Super close to fira main street yet it’s so peaceful and quiet. Our favourite was the infinity pool- it’s as amazing as it looks on the hotels photos! Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so relaxing. Ps. Definitely listen to the restaurant recommendations offered by the staff! They won’t disappoint you!
