Planned a weekend trip (3nights) to Santorini, first night arriving late evening to our original accommodation only to find no reception or person to greet us. After 2 hours of failed discussions we had to find an alternative. Astir came to the rescue. Had rooms available and made everything easy. The next day they were so supportive and helped where we needed it. All the staff were fantastic. Rooms were great. I would recommend and will look to stay there again Thank you Astir
My sister and I stayed at this hotel in Santorini. On arrival, we were greeted by very friendly staff who immediately made us feel welcome. Restaurant suggestions were offered as well as different activities we could partake in. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no water in the room but it was provided when we asked for it. Beautiful pool area. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. The location is within easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
This is a family owned hotel that is welcoming, warm and run by extremely nice and cheerful people. Located a mere 10 min walk from the center of fira, this hotel has comfortable beds, clean rooms, clean bathrooms with nice hot water showers, good free WiFi and a generous breakfast spread with hot and cold items every morning. The bed was comfortable and our room had a balcony with a view of the volcano. The staff helped us rent a car (very competitive prices) through trust rent-a-car in santorini. Driving around the island was the best decision we made and it wasn’t difficult to find free parking everywhere, probably since it’s almost low season. The location was close to everything and away from the noise of the center of town. Definitely no regrets in our choice of the hotel. If possible choose a volcano view room and enjoy the sunsets even from your own balcony.…
For the price we paid we were extremely happy with our stay. You're a few minutes walk into the heart of fira and the bus station that can get you round the island. Highly recommended getting a rental (we opted for a quad) for at least one day as that's the best way to see the beaches and sights. The hotel has a carpark round the back that was handy for this. Staff were incredibly welcoming and do everything they can to make you're stay the best it can be, plenty of good and honest recommendations. The room doesn't blow you away but does the job and we had a volcano view room with a beautiful view. The road spoils it somewhat but we were mainly out and about for the sunsets. The pool was better than expected, a good amount of sunbeds and decent size. it catches the sun nicely in the day and is very relaxing. Oh and there's breakfast included in the morning!…
Decent location - rooms on the front side have the best view - ours was a side view. Still newer hotel with Old Greece charm. Nice breakfast - walking distance to Thira and amazing sunsets. Easy parking for your rental car - friendly staff - only downfall is that the pool closes early and we could not take advantage of it and we wish we had had time. Rental car the best way to get around and see all that there is to see. Santorini Rent a Car is just two blocks away and are very reliable.
The room was a bit smaller than I expected from photos, but still plenty of space for two people and luggage, provided the luggage goes on a table off the floor. The patio was great for people watching as they passed on the street right below our room. I thought it might be noisy at night since the road was so close, but with both doors closed tightly it wasn't a problem. Also, the bathrooms are much smaller than expected with little counter space, so bring hanging bags for your toiletries. We had a caldera view, and yes, we could clearly see the old building. It wasn't a problem for me, but my husband wasn't thrilled. My favorite aspect of the hotel was the location. It was 10 minutes walking distance from a grocery store, and 15 minutes into town.
Good little hotel just outside the city. Nice, clean accommodations with a great staff. Room didn’t have a view, however we didn’t spend much time at hotel. Nice pool and pool area. Great Breakfast. Great place if you don’t care about a view from your room or pool. Kind of a busy road out front, so a bit of a dash to get across to sidewalk.
We were travelling to Santorini for a wedding and needed a hotel close to Thira with breakfast and a view. We found this with Astir Thira. The location was perfect only 5 minutes walk from the main area of Thira. Argyro was very friendly and very professional and a valuable asset for this hotel. She recommended for us to be picked up from the airport and even quoted the price which was exactly what we paid. The room was perfect, clean with a small fridge and aircondition and had views of the sunset. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was a bit small but perfect for this Hotel. They supply towels for you to use. Astir Thira is on a main road so need to be careful when crossing the road to walk on the footpath. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and scrumptious. They even made Frappe for us every day. The staff was very friendly, helpful if you needed something and knowledgeable on what to see and do in Santorini. Definitely recommend Astir Thira.…
My friend and I had a lovely stay at the Astir Thira! Argi was so helpful and really made our stay great. We were greeted with welcome drinks and a map and our hostess answered all our questions and gave us great suggestions with what to see and where to spend our limited time in Santorini. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to spend a bit less money and still have great walking access to all that Thira has to offer!
Well located hotel within walking distance of the main square in Fira with a view of the caldera . Although the hotel faces the main road, this posed no problem to us as the road was easy to cross and the rooms were quiet. A mini market was situated nearby which was very convenient for supplies. Breakfast was also included and this was plentiful and delicious. We had a few initial issues with some room amenities but this was sorted out very quickly by Angela at the front desk. Our advice...if you need any help with anything at all, please do not hesitate to contact the staff of Astir Thira especially Angela who always greeted us with her lovely warm smile!
