After many hours of research we eventually decided upon PP which is just outside of Fira. (5 mins by taxi = e10).

Upon arrival we were met by very friendly staff, enjoyed a welcome juice and began to soak in the incredible views from the reception area. We arrived early, midday, and unfortunately our room wasn’t ready. After some time, perhaps 45 mins, we were informed it would be another 20 mins, which was fine as we knew we were early. So we decided etc have lunch while we waited.

Lunch from the Eias restaurant was very nice, but disappointingly, anything but Greek cuisine, a typical pool menu. Would have been good to have seen just one greek option.

Our room was at the very bottom of A LOT of stairs, however there is an elevator that services all floors, once down the entrance steps. The room was very clean, a good size and well appointed. Small gripes, it has a very dated TV, which to be honest I doubt many guests even turn on, we could hear our neighbours talking through the walls and the showers were cool in the morning. The main observation, which appears to be the case with many hotels on the island, was privacy. All rooms are either adjoining or over looked, including those with private pools. Each room has a table, 2 x chairs and a parasol on the terrace. Breakfast is served a la carte either on a terrace or in a restaurant area. Both have great views and surprisingly in June we found ourselves indoors twice as it was very cool in the mornings. The food was good and the service was excellent and friendly. You can have breakfast on your room terrace if you wish at e15 per person. We opted against it as hotel is so quiet anyway. The pool area is excellent, well kept, comfy loungers and very quiet. The pool is however very cold, a major disappointment. Given the elevation of the property the wind provides a chill, add to this very cold water and the experience was far from pleasant. My wife didn’t get in and in fact, we didn’t see anybody else in it either. A massive miss from a premium property. Location is a consideration here. Its a drive to anywhere. Taxi’s are 5 mins to Fira and e10. The shuttle bus is excellent but limited in times. The airport was e25, I believe this is a fixed price to Fira. There is a bakery and gym over the road however it’s a main road, so not open to exploration. A mini market if 300m down the road. We did get mixed help from the team at reception, suggesting restaurants that we knew were booked out weeks ago. Negative reactions to our plans rather than suggestions to enhance them. A little strange and to be frank we ignored them and went about our plans which ended up perfect. Overall it was a great hotel - we got what we wanted a quiet, chilled and stress fee experience. The pool being more welcoming would have made a massive difference.

Hotel's Favourite
What a gorgeous boutique hotel !!! from the very first moment, we were amazing from the view that reflecting from the door entrance of the hotel. The hotel is so beautiful and romantic. The service of all the crew is no less than EXCELLENT !!! The Reception service is so good. Every question, request, recommendation, and problem took cared and we felt so pleased. We want to mention particularly Sofia and Iliase. All the time with a smile, ready and happy to help. We forgot also the name of another guy from the reception that helped us a lot with the recommendations of restaurants and yachting. Thank you so much. The Room was wonderful, big, and convenient. The mattress is HEAVEN !!! The bathroom is big and the hot tub is wonderful. We had a large balcony with a divine view direct to the Caldera (Both of them were seen !!! ). The Dining room is excellent and the breakfast menu is diverse fresh and tasty. Also, the room service is excellent. The waiter's service is at the best high level. Specially, we would like to mention Penny. She has a high level of service customers and we were so happy every time to see her at the breakfast and room service times. The pool is very nice and the sunbeds are the most comfortable that we ever tried. There is a shuttle to the center of Fira and it's a big bonus for this hotel because we Valued the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel compare to other hotels inside Fira, which are under or above the crowdy people. We can't forget this place and for sure if we'll come back to Santorini, it will be to this place (:

The accommodation is great, named Petit Palace but it is a Grand Palace! Rooms are wonderful, the view is over what you can expect, the restaurant is great, and the staff so kind, helpful, always having a special care ! At the reception Desk, the Manager is the best ever met. He took time to explain us how to optimize our stay in Santorini with good advices, places to visit, always smiling and available ! What an expérience to live! The situation of the Hotel is also a big advantage, far from crowded other areas, it seems like the Caldeira is yours. I hope I could come again

We came here for our silver wedding for a 4 night stay. What can I say we have been blown away by thisittle gem of a hotel. Staff are so attentive and friendly nothing is too much. Breakfast is amazing and so much choice. But the rooms are so unique and individual. Views to die for, I would say thisisa perfect stay for couples, honeymooners etc. We had stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and service has been good but not always genuine. This is not the case. You will not be disappointed if you book this hotel.

One of the most amazing hotel staffs we have experienced. They knew our names, preferences and gave very helpful advice. On top of the best staff, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and food were top notch. The private candlelight dinner was spectacular.

This is one of the best hotels on the island of Santorini, number one place to view the sunset. If your looking for a hotel with the best views, I would definitely recommend petit palace. The service is some of the best I’ve had , hotel workers are helpful and friendly. Will be returning in 2022

Very pleased with my recent stay at the Petit Palace Suites. The views from my “grand”suite, breakfast, and the pool deck are simply stunning. The hotel location is quite central, meaning taxi rides are only about 10-15 mins for most locations (Oia further). One thing to note is that the hotel has a lot of stairs — our room was only down 1 flight so it was never an issue but others were down 3+ and could be exhausting to climb. A couple issues that if could be resolved would improve the hotel even further… we had a few inconsistencies with housekeeping… where they didn’t bring new bottles of water, failed to take out the trash, didn’t replace trash bags, etc. When we called to raise the issues, they were immediately rectified but still not ideal to have them in the first place. The pool deck is clearly the most picturesque & lovely hotel location with gorgeous views, calming music, plush sunbeds. But the tiles in the pool are broken and missing in some locations. For this calibre of hotel, they really need to fix the pool tiling, it looks messy and takes away from the pristine view. Other than that detail, the rest of the pool experience is lovely & was never crowded. Lunch & drinks by the pool were reasonably priced & offered huge portions - highly recommend! Staff was always polite & friendly. Loved being greeted by champagne upon arrival! Breakfast had a decent menu selection, did take a bit long to get certain items, but when you’re distracted by the beautiful view, you can get past this :) Overall, the suite was very large, could do with some updates in the bathroom but the view is what’s most important and with a private balcony and 2 chairs overlooking the caldera, we were extremely pleased. Would gladly recommend to any couple looking for a romantic & calming getaway.

Petit Palace suites is second to none with their views and bed and breakfast culture. The food was great and convenient, service was phenomenal, especially Penny! The staff was quick to accommodate us in whatever we needed, including fixing a broken shower head (even giving us free wine after that!), and letting us use the facilities after checkout when our ride would not arrive until later that evening. The bus into Fira made getting around seamless and as we walked through Fira and Oia, we never came across a better view. Do not sleep on this place, but do sleep IN their beautiful rooms and by their pool. I will be recommending this place to everyone.

We stayed at the Petit Palace in August 2018, and had our own private pool. The private pool upgrade is 100% worth it; being able to dip in the pool after a long day, with all the privacy, was such a relaxing treat. Breakfast was served on our balcony every morning. You will submit your breakfast preferences the night before. Go ahead and fill up that form!! We had champagne every morning :) The service here was amazing. We were so thankful we stayed here and not in Oia. We went on a sunset cruise with a family who was staying in a hotel on the opposite side of the island, in Oia -- where there is tons of retail, shopping, dining, etc. They seemed to regret their decision to stay there, and asked us a million questions about our million dollar view. We really hope to be back. This was such a splurge but such a treat!
