Literally, like an eagle's nest hanging in the cliff of the island, Aris Caves is located only a few minutes via stairs down from the center of the lovely village of Oia. Yet the placing of the houses is configured like an amphitheatre, tranquil and ideal to relax, to dream and to enjoy the breathtaking view across the Santorini Caldera, the volcano Nea Kameni and the deep blue Aegean Sea.Spread over 4 levels are 7 self-catering, fully equipped and separate studios, apartments and a suite, each with kitchenette, shower/toilet, air conditioning, internet and its own terrace. The large terrace in the center and the sun terrace next to the entrance of Aris Caves are open to all guests and offer probably some of the best views of Oia. Due to the cliff side location, stairs and low perimeter walls of the property, we recommend children to be at least 8 years of age and unfortunately cannot recommend our hotel to guests with mobiliy issues.

There are many amazing hotels in Santorini, and Aris Caves is no different with its breathtaking terrace, charming rooms, and cliffside location. However, what truly sets this hotel apart from others (we stayed in multiple hotels around Santorini) is the exceptional kindness and hospitality of the staff & management. Before our visit even began, Christina made herself available 24/7 via Whats App to coordinate our arrival to the hotel. She was kind enough to upgrade out suite upon arrival (highly recommend the Superior Studio Folia - Nest), and reviewed with us all the best restaurants and activities in Oia. Christina even ensured that our jacuzzi overlooking the Caldera was the perfect temperature late at night. It is rare in our experience to have hotel management so promptly responsive, kind, and helpful at all hours of the day, and Aris Caves really impressed us with their tremendous hospitality. 6 out of 5 stars!

The view is just perfect. Breathtaking. The staff is really kind. Cristina gave us tips about the island, restaurants, etc. Rooms are comfortable, clean and cozy. The Santorini experience you are looking for. I’ll definitely go back there and I recommend to anyone.

I can’t say enough about Aris Caves. Its spectacular and has a view that doesn’t quit! Right in Oia on the edge of the Aegean Sea.. but more special are the folks we met who run the Aris Caves. Their hospitality and kindness was the best I have experienced in any of the hundreds of places I have stayed. From porter to laundry and smiles, extra treats in our cave … don’t be fooled, it was 3 bedrooms spaces, two terraces, two baths and a jacuzzi overlooking the Caldera. The beds and seating areas are amazing too. Our friends at Aris Caves arranged drivers for us to and from the airport and even walked us out to hug and send us on our way. Our hosts arranged a sail and suggested places to see. They asked us for opinions too. We left feeling like we HAVE to come back. We actually extended our stay and although we had to move to a smaller space the space did not disappoint and had an even better view! Thank you Christina and team for making our stay in Santorini so special!

The hotel is in the middle of Oia. You have to decent on around 100 steps of stairs, but your luggage will be taken at the transfer drop-off and carried for you. Just be aware that it is really a stairway to heaven. Our Patari suite was huge for 2. I recommend that amount of space on Santorini, because you will have a lot of similar locations with much less of space! The hotel has only a few rooms and I think 3 or 4 of them have a Jacuzzi. But if you have one, you will probably dissolve in that water during your stay! Aris Caves is easily worth 5 stars. You will get a LARGE kitchen, 2 rooms with beds for 6. That could be a nice group, but I would recommend the max. of 4. The Patari suite stretches through the whole hotel and at its end, there is the most beautiful balcony I have been on. And I have been to Santorini 3 times and Amalfi 3 times already. I have been in 5* hotels around the globe. This little jewel is your romantic getaway! Not much to say about the hotel. It is very clean, has very friendly staff and a very good spot in Oia, where you want to be for the sunset anyhow. Christina, your host is the inventor of good service and will organize EVERYTHING for you - via WhatsApp.... We had the MOST romantic stay in our luxury 25 years here.
