THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! The view is breathtaking, location was perfect, breakfast AMAZING, and staff was even more fantastic! I do NOT regret staying at Ducato. The price for the hotel is definitely worth it. If I ever visit Santorini again, I would definitely stay at Ducato again!

This is a hard review to write, as I'm afraid I won't do this hotel justice. I loved everything about this hotel. Our room was larger than I expected, and completely unique. The separate bedroom was in the back cave of the room, with a curved bed of only 3 corners. The sitting room had a sofa and plenty of counter space. The bathroom with a separate shower room - and I mean it was its own room - were huge. As hotel rooms go, it was the most unique and comfortable room I've had in a long time. Quirky and unusual, absolutely, which only added to its charm. Our outdoor area was large enough, with a dipping pool, L shaped sofa, and two lounge chairs. The view, as you can imagine, was spectacular. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier, more hard-working, or attentive. They were utterly fantastic. I can't say enough about recommending this hotel. Everything about it made me smile. NOTE: After reading some of the negative reviews, you should be advised - this is Santorini, and the hotel overlooks the Caldera. This part of Oia is shaped like an amphitheater, and houses (now hotels) were built into caves in a random fashion. There are a lot of steps, twisting and winding and not level. If you have mobility issues, you should look for a standard hotel elsewhere. Also, as this hotel faces the arc of the sun, you are not going to find a lot of shade (as umbrellas would affect the views of those in rooms above you). If you need shade yet want to be outdoors, you should find a hotel in another area. But if you're looking for a unique hotel stay with an amazing view, lots of sun, and and an attentive staff, this is the place to stay.

Ducato was a huge disappointment. We spent so much money to book a specific room with a plunge pool. Granted it was high season but they over booked the room and put is in a room without a pool. To make up for it they moved us after one night but that’s such a hassle when you’re 6 months pregnant like me on a babymoon trying to relax. They moved me to a much smaller room but at least it had the pool. This room was half the price of the room I booked yet I had to fight tooth and nail to get a proper refund which I’m still waiting for 2 weeks later. Worst part was I found a COCKROACH in my room! The room was on top of the kitchen so maybe that’s why but does not make it any better actually makes it worse !! Mosquitos throughout the room as well but the cockroach irked me to no extent. The breakfast they provided was awful compared to other Greek hotels I stayed in and just a very disappointing experience overall. Ruined my trip to santorini . I would never recommend anyone to stay there ever again

I stayed at this wonderful place with my girlfriend for 7 days. Amazing view and rooms with private jacuzzi! Moreover, Antonia, Stavroula, Apostolis and George, the Ducato staff, with their professionalism and care made our stay more pleasant and comfortable. Thank you!

I had such an amazing stay here with my fiancé!! Our room (like all rooms at the Hotel) had spectacular views of the caldera. Upon our arrival, the Hotel had arranged for a beautiful bouquet and a bottle of champagne to be in our room, since we were celebrating my birthday. Our room, the Naxos suite, was intricately designed with unique features and it had an oversized cave-like bathroom with a two-person shower. But the best part was the outdoor pool which was private and very romantic! And the breakfast each morning was simply delightful. The staff was SO friendly and accommodating at all hours and they really went out of their way to tend to our every desire. We could not have asked for anything more and we will definitely be back!!
