We stayed at the ocean front villa for 5nts after the safari and we are so happy we choose the Tulia hotel. The atmosphere is really enjoyable as the hotel has only 14 villas. The villa was clean and spacious and offered a private elevated small beach with an amazing view to the ocean. The staff was really friendly and professional and the guys at the bar always made incredible mocktails/cocktails depending on various taste. We also really enjoyed a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, much better than the usual buffet. Last but not least Petra and Rakta were always available for any help and for a small chat after dinner. Thank you so much to all the staff for making memorable our honeymoon, including the surprise dinner on our last day! Cecilia & Rune
My wife and I were spent the last few days in Tulia and really had a great time. This place is incredible and the hotel stuff made us feel like a family. The food was amazing, we felt like we ate in a gourmet restaurant all day long! Most ingredients camed from the hotel's organic farm so everything was super fresh. We took the front beach room and it was well equipped, super clean with large balcony equipped with few sofas and hammock. Also, the hotel offers an incredible complimentary massage for each guest and free private yoga lessons. We travelled a lot and we can definitely say that this hotel was the best luxury hotel so far, we had a great experience! Thank you so much Tulia!
The best hotel in Zanzibar, I recommend to everyone. Great perfect service, smiling and nice staff, amazing gastronomy. The hotel is in a beautiful place, where is the beautiful beach also after outflow.
I’ve never written a review before actually staying at a property but feel compelled to do so due to the absolutely excellent service and communication we have already received from Petra and the Tulia team. Nothing has been too much trouble and responses come back so quickly. I’m sure I will run out of superlatives when I get to write the review once we have stayed! We can’t wait to stay at Tulia in August!
One thing about a hotel is to have great location with comfortable environment I fell I love with the environment of Tulia Zanzibar😍.Another best thing I was very interested is the Car of the Last Sultan in Zanzibar which the do rent to guest and contribute the money to the orphanage center. friendly staffs and Best option for family and couple vacations.
My best friend and me spent an amazing time at this beautiful hotel. The whole staff spreads a positive vibe and creates a unique atmosphere. They make you feel that this place is your second home. We reveived a personal letter when we arrived and left, which is a very unique gesture. The villas are very cosy and the whole place feels very idyllic. The food is very delicious and each night there’s a show that is very entertaining and engages you with the local culture. I highly recommend to stay here and indulge in this unique atmosphere fueled by people with smiles and generous attitudes.

A wonderful hotel with relaxed atmosphere where you feel as home. We certainly did. Only 16 private villas ensure that it is quiet, actually it is quieter then Maldives, an incredible feet and thus it is very peaceful and easygoing. The villas are excellent though I recommend the seafront villas which are bigger, easily accomodate 2 adults and two kids and you have still plenty of space left. There is also more privacy in seafront villas. Swimming is almost nonstop emty it is just you and your drink from very friendly barmen. Do not expect them to be very fast though, but at the end they always bring you a drink. Remember, you have expensive watches but they own the time :) My wife loved Kijani cocktail so try it as well! A hidden jewel for kids and adults alike is a small kids full with two slides. Of one them is really fast and even adult will make a huge splash and feel excitement. The slides are very good fun and kids spent there much time. This brings me to the beach. It is white white with seagrass on shores sometimes, but that is normal. During the low tide you can walk hundred of metres through shallow waters, search for starfish, enjoy the scenery or my favourite, just lay down into the water and get a suntan. The regular beach walk is so boring, this is much better fun. During high tide the water comes all the way to the hotel and at deepest point it is maximum 160cm so good for swimming and also quite safe for kids. If you want to walk almost all the way to coral barrier then I recommend also shoes for water, otherwise they are not necessary. Further you, the more sea urchins you find. They are easily to spot, the water is crystal clear. Water is warm, incredibly pleasant and I could stay there nonstop. If you came for suntan then use pool facilities with sunbeds, towels etc. The food was great and especially the atmosphere in the bar. It is very friendly, easy going and the staff love their job and simultaneously they retain their own personality which means very often you will see a barman dancing, ´cause he just heard his favourite tunes, stopped doing the drink, made some moves and continues with the drink. Just watch them. The dinner is always a set menu from fresh ingredients which you can see in hotel garden. It is hust few meter behind the villas and is a very pleasant place for a short stroll. We used spa as well and let me be honest, the massage was second best I had ( the best one being at Six Senses Krabey island in Cambodia). The hotel is one of the best on the island in terms of quality as well as prices. Luxury on Zanzibar is not a common thing and luxury tourism is still not here. Tulia and few other hotels are trying to start this market and I think they are doing a great job. If anyone asks me, would you come back? I answer, Im definitely coming back for another wonderful holidays. We had a great time here and loved every second. Thank you Tulia and see you soon! NB. The beds in the room are excellent. Not too soft, not hard and we slept like babies, bush babies!…
We have spent 8 days with friends in this amazing place. We really enjoyed the location, food, drinks, happy staff and complimentary yoga, massage and paddle board-kayak. The cuisine is Michelin star (five course a la carte lunch and dinner every single day) and drinks are premium. Quoting the Chef ‘everything is possible, just ask us’. Unique hotel, management and hospitality! There is no other place like Tulia!!! Last but not least, special thanks to our tour agent Elite Travel International, Sofia.
A wonderful place with an amazing staff who are so welcoming, friendly, helpful, always available and always smiling The resort is so beautiful and has a unique tropical vibe Has a lot of facilities: beach with water activities, spa, fully equipped gym, spice garden, 2 different swimming pools (one with slides for kids), a delicious restaurant with a menu that changes every time(dinner and lunch) and every day, a nice bar by the pool The rooms are spacious and has the African and tropical vibes mixed Cleanliness is outstanding
