We have enjoyed our stay at the Jamila lodge to the max. We where the only guests, which made it even more special. Host Suzan, chef John and ranger Justines made all our wishes and desires come true. Suzan made sure we felt welcome and is extremely good in creating a good atmosphere. Not one question was to much and... More

While we visited South Africa we stayed 3 nights on Jamila. Everything was perfect. It starts with the warm welcome, the perfect food and great game drives. Thanks to Susanne and the Rangers. We will definitely come back.

We noticed that all the rangers in Welgevonden do not take the little critters into account... on the 2 game drives we were on, so many dungbeetles were driven over and squashed! I understand that most of the guests want to see the big 5, but it's the little guys that are important as well. They play a huge roll... More

What an absolutely stunning getaway. Keeping a fine balance between 'homey' and luxurious, this private game lodge is South African hospitality at it's finest. Beautifully decorated with attention to detail, amazing food and friendly staff. Surrounded by the bushveld, there is plenty of wild to see on the game drives, with a knowledgable, helpful ranger. If you are lucky, some... More

We where with 6 people staying 2 nights at Jamila. We had 3 rooms and not one of the jacuzzi s was operating properly. 2 gamedrives each day and 4 of us did a morningwalk, which was very nice. Unfortunatly we did not see a lot of the big 5, besides a lot of rhino's, a few elephants and a... More

This has to be one of the best value lodges in South Africa. Rooms are very spacious and have nice privacy and views. Food is quite average - day 1 when we arrived all I could eat was 2 pieces of chicken, as they seem to cook pretty much "one piece per guest", then serve it as buffet so if... More

What a wonderful place. The rooms were beautiful, very luxious and privately situated, the food was delicious and the staff were very professional. We would highly recommend this for a romantic weekend away for two. Only down fall would be the gravel road that you have to travel on for 17kms, to get to the west gate, if you don't... More

We absolutely loved our weekend at Jamila Game Lodge. Julie and Mark, the managers, along with Shannon and the rest of the team, treated us like royalty with superb food and hospitality. Our rooms were divine...private, beautifully decorated with oh-so comfortable beds with wonderful vistas of the game park. The main lodge was gorgeous too, and a great place to... More

We had never been to Welgevonden before so finding a place to spend five days took a lot of research but each time we viewed all the accommodation we kept going back to the Jamila website. After sending an enquiry with regards to dates available and finding that Jamila could accommodate us for the time we wanted we had to... More
