By the time we reached Maralal it was late in the night and we straight went to this lodge. After a long journey of almost 12 hours, the comfy bed and duve cover were a welcome treat. It was like heavenly. We crashed into the bed and the moment I hit the pillow, I was off.
The next morning I came out to the cock crows and cows mooing in the distance. The lodge is beautifully perched on a hill giving a breathtaking view of the entire town of Maralal. Made of logs this lodge is among the finest accommodation you can find in Maralal. So if you want to relax after a long day drive, than certainly this is the place to be.

It was a fantastic experience to stay in this beautiful Eco-Lodge located on a hilltop with stunning views. The rooms are well equipped. There are cottages with beautiful large terraces that overlook the landscape. The staff are very friendly and took good care of us. The meals are very tasty. Organized by the staff, we made a number of very interesting hikes guided by local Samburu guides, especially to the area towards Kirisia forest and the 'blacksmith'. During these trips we were able to experience how the local, very friendly Samburu people live and live. All in all a great experience. One that we can recommend to everyone.

Ngari Hill Guesthouse is a hidden little gem. An absolute delight with such friendly and welcoming staff. We recently stayed here on our photography tour with a private client and the activities we organised through the guesthouse were an absolute highlight. I can't wait to return with more photo tour guests!

This is a wonderful, quiet, and friendly place. The manager, Daniel, was welcoming and efficient, and really interesting to talk to about the surrounding area. The campsite is the best I've seen in Kenya, and the bandas (where we stayed) are excellent.
As a word of advice, follow their excellent directions to get here -- do not follow the full instructions from Google maps, which may take you on the old route which is no longer passable even by 4WD. The "NCPB Maralal" is on Santuary Road [as spelled on google maps), which is a main road heading east from the downtown.
This was the perfect 2-night stop on our way across northern Kenya, giving us a chance to relax and take a side trip to the Malasso viewpoint.

We enjoyed the beautiful lodges, the very friendly staff, the views, the delicious food and the local hikes. Every day a different hike with local people, the Samburu. We have learned and seen so much. A holiday you will never forget. We'll be back.

My buddy and I stayed at Ngari Hills in early September, 2020, on my way to the north of Kenya by motorcycle. On the way back, we stayed there again. It is a very nice, clean, quiet place, set on a hilltop outside of the town, with very good food. I highly recommend it for others traveling in the area.

Ngarihill is a beautiful lodge in Maralal.
The friendly service and excellent cuisine made for a pleasant stay.
We visited the beautiful surroundings several times with guides.
A highlight was the Samburu dance group. The view of the hill is also breathtaking. It was a great stay with excellent options.

traveled to Kenya with daughter and two grandsons and stayed for a few days in Maralal at Ngari Hill Guesthouse. A beautiful stay in general with special rooms and many types of stays with beautiful terraces in particular. A good restaurant with a warm fireplace and very customer-friendly staff. In short, worth a visit!

An outstanding place on top of the hill. We arrived there by our own motorhome an found a perfect place to camp with good sanitary facilities. The outlook is amazing. The people had been absolute kind and friendly. The dinners had been tasty and well prepared, although there was not much choice. Breakfast was also enjoyable. For sure there is no better place in the region.
