My husband and I went to spend our BabyMoon in Niagara Falls. We wanted to make sure the hotel had several amenities since we went during the winter time. The hotel is very conveniently located from the falls, Canadian border, and several convenience stores and restaurants. It is also a quick drive from Buffalo which we drove to a few times for dining experiences and other attractions. We picked a king room with fall view. I thought the views to the falls would be closer however, the view was still nice. We were on the 25th floor. The room was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Water, a mini fridge, toiletries, a blow dryer, iron and ironing board, a desk, vanity, etc. We stayed in the non smoking side and didn’t have any issues with our floor smelling like cigarettes. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I have stayed at multiple 4 and 5 star all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and the quality at Seneca was much better. The hotel features a spa, pool, barbershop and hair salon. We looked around but ended up booking our couples massage at another spa. We thought Seneca’s pricing was a bit hefty compared to what was around. There are several restaurants at the hotel to choose from. We tried three sisters cafe for breakfast one morning. The buffet was underwhelming for $17. The breakfast sandwich I had was ok. They also have a Tim Hortons for some coffee and breakfast food. Room service was quick and tasty. We ordered chicken tenders and fries one night. We went to the casino twice, although we aren’t gamblers so, I really don’t have the expertise to provide feedback on the quality. It seems to be very popular tho! Last, the lobby does smell like cigarettes the majority of the time. It’s probably because the smoking section of the casino is right at the entrance of the lobby. Also, the gps does not take you directly to the hotel lobby, but it takes you to the other side of the hotel which is the casino entrance. We were a bit lost the night we arrived since we got there at midnight and there was no clear direction. It sucks we were not told that valet was included for hotel guests since I’m 6 months pregnant and it would have been very useful to know. Hotel is approx 30 mins from the Buffalo airport with toll. Overall, we were able to relax and enjoy a new city at a clean and comfortable hotel that had great amenities.…
Please be aware as the security at the Seneca is very inadequate. We were on a family birthday vacation and my daughter's car was stolen right from the parking lot located very near the main entrance. We are from out of state so this was not only a huge violation but a very big inconvenience. We had only been there two days out of a five day trip and the hotel didn't offer us any type of refund. Actually barely an apology. It was stated to us after by officials the surrounding neighborhood has a lot of crime and their is nothing much law enforcement can do. They stated multiple cars are stolen each month. This ruined our trip. We will not be returning to The Seneca Hotel or any other establishment in Niagara Falls, New York.
The rooms are falling apart and the service in the casino is non existent, gambled for two days, only saw a waitress once and received one comped drink, this was on a Saturday night and Sunday night, there is one waitress on the floor, you have to go to the bar and pay $10.00 for a rum and coke, the rooms are falling apart and nothing has been done to them for years, the handles on the shower heads are broken, sink stopper does not work and the mattress is as hard as a rock, could not sleep for the two nights I was there, there is no housekeeping service during your stay, the elevator keys do not work properly which resulted going up and then down again and then up again once the stupid button finally turned green, as long as my room is comped I will stay but most certainly would not pay for a room, not to mention the non smoking room smelt like weed and dirty. They need to start spending money upgrading the rooms. …
Very comfortable, quiet room. Pool, hot tub and exercise room very clean and well maintained. Dining on site is outrageously expensive. Lots of restaurant choices a short drive away. Don't drink the bottled water left in your room, there is a $2.00 charge per bottle! Be aware there is a $20.00 resort fee added to the price listed for the room. You pay whether you use any of the facilities or not. Thankfully you can flush the toilet for no additional charge! LOL We had a good time her, just felt nickled and dimed.
This casino has it all. Very nice, great restaurants. We dont gamble but went for a show and dined at Koi and The Western Door. Both excellent! Within walking distance from the falls and overall quite lovely.
We have not been there in years and were pleasantly surprised to see how much it has changed.Mostly for the better. They have a good variety of slot machines and Restaurants most of which were not open when we visited, but we enjoyed our visit and will return
We loved the hotel and the room was fantastic. Clean, spacious and great views. The front desk people are somewhat less than professional. Not very friendly. Don't seem to like their jobs. Too bad because apart from that it was a great experience. So clean and luxurious. Casino was half empty. Nothing but slots. No poker. That would bring the crowds back.
We visited this hotel within a coach tour and when leaving and 100 miles away my husband realised he had left his jacket in the breakfast restaurant. We contacted the hotel immediately and they said they had found it and put it in lost property. After numerous phones calls and emails trying to arrange a courier service to return the jacket it has still not been returned to us 3 months later!! They seem be making this customer service extremely difficult.
Have been coming to the Seneca Niagara Casino Resort since the day it opened 20 years ago. There is a lot to like but also some areas of concern. The location is good about a 10 minute walk to the falls with half the rooms having a nice view of Niagara Falls, Canada and their lit up skyline (there is no view of the falls from any room but you can see the 5 minute fireworks display at 10pm if you have a Canada facing room or go outside). Traveling to the resort there have been some notable improvements the past couple of years to the road along the Niagara river and to the road entering the casino garage. There are still many eyesore buildings that are boarded up and should be torn down or renovated. The garage and outdoor parking areas have ample spaces to park. It's never full and it's an easy 3 minute walk into the resort from any parking spot. It's frustrating that the escalators have been out of order and blocked off leading from the garage to the Hotel Lobby and check-in area. They have been out of order for more than 6 months with no sign of them ever being repaired. A bad first impression for patrons who have to take 2 sets of elevators to get from the garage to the Casino/Hotel check-in level. All hotel, casino and restaurant staff are always helpful, polite and mostly professional. Restaurants vary. Three Sisters offer good service and nice ambience but mediocre food, especially breakfast. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes all lack flavor and taste like they come out of a package. Coffee is great. Pricing is fair. Koi is terrific. Staff are always friendly. Only problem is with La Cascata down since March 2020 Koi is often sold out, especially on weekends and is not open 7 days a week. The only real good restaurant is The Western Door but it's pricey and again hard to get into as it's often booked well in advance. That leaves the Blue Plate, Tim Horton,s the Full Plate Buffet that has improved the ambience but basically serves the same ok at best food for $38 a person. It's not open for breakfast anymore. Again the staff and service is great. Slice and Dice is a good pizza place but again is not open during the day. Not even on weekends. Seneca needs to re-open La Cascata or find another comparable option. La Cascata was a really good option. Hotel rooms are due for an update. Seneca Allegany did a really nice job with theirs updating the furniture, tv and flooring. Seneca Niagara is dated. Small LCD tv with furniture that was nice 15 years ago but needs to go. Follow Allegany's lead. Service is good. Wish that Seneca would stop texting me at 6am to let me know that check-out is available. They wake me up every time we visit. The smell of pot/skunk is prominent, especially on weekends along with the smell of cigarettes and cigars. Lately, we have notice a perfume smell in the rooms. Last time we couldn't stay overnight as the perfume smell was overwhelming. We left without staying. Now for the casino itself. It was our favorite including all the resorts we have stayed at in Vegas and Atlantic City. It's just lacking right now plus it's clear the slot machines are not paying at the same payout % they did even just months ago. Something has changed. Bonus play is less often with far fewer bigger sized payouts. Payouts that often don't even match the size of the bet. It's great that there is a large non-smoking casino section and on Friday's and Saturday's there is almost always a great band to entertain and give you that Vegas feel. The DJ sometimes gets carried away considering more than half the patrons are middle to older aged and would prefer a better mix of oldies. Free drinks are great and bar staff are excellent. The comps are fantastic at Seneca. Great gifts, free play, shows, rooms etc. I'd prefer fewer comps and better payout %'s. Only complaints about comp offers are the scheduled dining comp offers. Only good on the days they want you to visit. Most of the time they don't work with our schedule so we lose out. Add to that the Advantage Lounge being closed seemingly permanently and less than generous food comps by the on-duty Host and one has to ask what happened to the Advantage???? Achieving the highest level is not as advantageous as it once was. Get rid of the $20 drink voucher offers that are redundant and replace with weekly food offers that the Advantage member can decide when to take or better yet re-open the Advantage Lounge. …
