An extremely convenient bed and breakfast for exploring New Paltz and the surrounding region. The driveway is literally just off the main drag, but once you are at the top of the hill (the word "Heights" does mean something here, folks), you can see but not hear the town. The Greene family has created a beautiful but not overly precious...

The people who run this B N B are very seasoned. It is a very well run place. I've never had such a wonderful breakfast. She asks what you want and cooks every one fresh. Usually it is planned and everyone gets the same thing. Delicious! Very nice family. They stay out of your way, give you their cell #...

We stumbled upon this place, weary from a day's drive. We lucked out in that there was a room available. The house has a lot of character and charm, lots of dark wood and a beautiful fireplace in the dining room. The hosts Darryl and Janet were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Some of the fabrics and towels in the room...

The location is very convenient yet it is quiet and beautiful place. So close both to the main street and the historic district. The breakfast was made to order and so tasty. The room was affordable and great for a weekend trip. I'm looking forward to going back!

This beautiful home set on a hill in New Paltz, NY was hard to locate late at night but proved to be a great find. The room was pretty and clean, with a small private bathroom, artfully decorated with plenty of towels and extras including shower accessories which was a huge plus. The breakfast was made to order, simple home...

I am a SUNY New Paltz graduate. I have traveled the world and there is no more comfortable, hospitable, clean, loving place to stay than the Inn at Orchard Heights for so many reasons. While I was still attending SUNY NP, my parents would come up every Fall and we would all spend the weekend at Janet and Darryl's inn....

This is was great for us. YES, you have to walk down the hall to take a shower, but you do have a sink/toilet in the room. When I say it is old school, I mean it is not a formal upscale inn. It is the "wow, here I am in a town and need a room in a house"...

New Paltz is such a surprising town. Very bohemian with great, organic, outdoorsy, and alternative population, so finding a great place to stay with character is a must! The Inn at Orchard Heights has the location. Super easy walk to the Hugenot Street, to the main drag with all its interesting non-chain shops and restaurants, farmer's market and antique zone....

We loved this place! It is quirky and charming, the proprietor (Janet) is one of the nicest people out there, and the location can't be beat -- right downtown, close to all the action and the bus to/from NYC. Breakfast was awesome, too! We lucked into finding the Inn at Orchard Heights thanks to a neighboring cabbie's recommendation, and we...

In town for a friend's birthday, my wife and I were shocked to see how limited the hotel options were in the area. We stumbled upon this place after reading terrible reviews of the two motels in town and we're glad we chose this. Very convenient location and Janet was extremely accommodating--after informing her that my wife and I were...
