When we booked from the website, the pricing was vague (under the holidays category) and via email, KLM agreed that it was difficult to interpret and to honor the price we thought it was. More on that later... It was strange that there is an office but no one was there on a holiday to greet people; instead there were...

Come on people! This place is a fun, kitsch little getaway. Go stay at a Sheraton or the aforementioned Dylan Inn which looks like a Days Inn with a Peace Sign. This collection of fun, little motel rooms and cabins are charming. The beds are clean and its a quirky little getaway. I'm a huge B-52's fan so yeah, that...

I did not see many reviews on the cabin we stayed in, I believe it was called the love shack. It is a one room (not including bathroom) cabin. Here goes! The cabin is very cute. Furnishings are well thought out. It has a fireplace/stove in the corner (they dont have pics of this, why I do not know) that...

No cell service, dirty, overpriced! The tea pot was rusty and the coffee maker dirty, I could not even make a morning cup of tea. Mold in shower, which only trickled. I had to get on my knees and put my head under the faucet to rinse the shampoo out. Never going back, ever!

The Creek is beautiful. Now I remember why I don't stay in Motels ! Kate should stick to singing and stay out of the hospitality business, this motel is totally overpriced, the shower barely worked, no cell service, solid 15-20 minute mountain drive to Woodstock, bathroom was so tiny it was almost useless, coffee pot was rusty, retro theme overrated. Stay...

I was aware of Kate's Lazy Meadow when they first opened a few years back, good press. Finally we were planning our trip to the Catskills and wanted to try it. Was sad the Airstreams were gone, but tried a suite. A couple of the reviews started to scare me, but no need to worry. I found the place fabulous....

I'm gonna start with something positive first: the Esopus Creek which you can access from the hotel. It's beautiful and I really enjoyed it! Now for the actual review... This motel was SO disappointing in so many levels! There's so much to cover but I also don't want you to spend too much time reading this review. Try reading other...

It's all about mindset at Kate's Lazy Meadow. We brought our polaroid, our aprons, board games like Yahtzee and Jackstraws and vacationed in the 50's. We chose cabin 2 because of the cool blue kitchen. The oven didn't work and one burner didn't work. Ah well, even in the 50's people had to improvise. We took day trips to see...

We stayed in 3 different lodgings during our recent Catskills vacation, and this one ranked tops because of its laid-back scenic beauty and restful vibe alongside the Esopus Creek. I had feared this was going to be like landing in hipster Williamsburg (we saw that at a competitor motel in nearby Phoenicia), but all kinds of people stayed in the...

This 40's-style motor court has been painted in bright colors and stocked with kitschy 50's and 60's furniture, ceramics, and wall-hangings. The kitchen looks just like my mother's did in 1960, with aqua appliances and Formica counters. If you're an aficionado of genuine mid-century modern furnishings, there are a couple of really good pieces in each room among the schlock....

“If you just want to get away in the winter and not be bothered, the shack is better than the rooms. Quiet and not connected to the world. If you are there in the summer, the river is accessible from the motel rooms. PUP FRIENDLY (50$ extra per night).”
