My wife likes the Cobb salad and the view. The only reason l go back is for her. After a raw pork chop and a steak that was as tough as elk hide.......I try to keep it simple. That did not work for lunch the other day. Something made me sick......the soup tasted like heavily salted beef gravy and the...

For many years we have dined at this turn-of-the-century hotel, but never had the good fortune to stay there until Valentine's Day weekend. The hotel, a welcome refuge from the cold and snow, offered a rare opportunity for us to savor a bygone era because of the architecture and interior decor. Most of the hotels of this vintage are gone....

This hotel is just what you expect and see in the pictures, and it's defiantly not the Marriott... I was so creeped out that I slept for 3 hours! Everything was verrry old. I felt like I was in an insane asylum with the creepy doll pictures everywhere and rod iron beds. However On the bright side, the restaurant was...

I had a "girls night out" this past July on a family vacation to the Adirondacks. Everyone (ten of us) was pleased with their meal, and I was able to ask for a "double-size appetizer" of the scallops, proscuito, & green pea drizzle to serve as my entree. They accomodated my request, and it was one of my best meals...

I have been to the Adirondack Hotel on Long Lake restaurant a number of times through the years. I have never stayed in the hotel. I have always been happy with the food, the pricing and the service. I love the location. If seated near a window diners can watch planes land and take off on the lake across the...

Nostalgic, turn-of-the-century Americana - feels like you're in a movie set. The hotel is perfectly situated across the street from the lake with lovely views from the large porches on the first and second floor. Everything is within very short walking distances - a variety of cute shops, restaurants and a marina including boat rentals. Small rooms, perfectly clean and...

My wife and I visited the Adirondack Hotel in late May before the beginning of the tourist season. The Adirondack is one of the few remaining examples of the great hotels which once defined accommodations in the wildness in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The hotel is a little rustic and the rooms small, but they are immaculately...

The rooms were very clean and the rates were very good. Our room had two twin beds and also had a bathroom with shower. You can get rooms that do not have a bathroom and shower. Those rooms use a community/common bathroom with shower. In our room the shower was very small and the toilet was wedged between the shower...

We visited the Hotel for dinner this week. I had hoped for a historic inn. We found a run down diamond in the rough. There were no warm and fuzzies here. We were quickly taken to a table, our waitress did come over in a relatively reasonable amount of time. We were welcomed with a list of things that they...
