My wife and I hadn't been to Long Lake in more than a decade, so this year we decided to celebrate the July 4 weekend there. We had a great stay at the Sandy Point. Our room was super comfortable and clean. The property was very well maintained. The owner and staff were most friendly and helpful. Every room has...

My sister and I stayed at Sandy Point in July of 2014, and returned again last weekend for another outstanding, long weekend. This year, our room had a kitchenette, with stove, additional (and larger) refrigerator, cookware, flatware and dishes, and of course, the "Adirondack" air conditioning (open windows). Even during the heat wave they were having in southern New England,...

We passed by looking for a hotel and found this place. It was a score! Everything was perfect. The staff, the property, the owner and everything. It was $135 for one night for a 2 double bed room. It was clean and surprisingly kind of big room. I will definitely return.

My hiking buddy and I really like Sandy Point when we're tackling the lower Adirondack peaks. The owners are great, the hotel is clean and quiet, and the view of Long Lake from the screened porches is tremendous. The decor is older but in great shape and a nice change from the cookie cutter chains. Very Relaxing, and a great...

We have stayed there several times during the past 4 years. The rooms have a wonderful view of the lake and a screened in porch to sit and relax. The rooms are a bit dated, but some are in the process of being remodeled. Dave, the owner, goes out of his way to accommodate the guest. We love it there.

If you are going to the middle of the Adirondack park I don't know if there is any super place to stay - rustic really means rustic. Sandy Point is lovely though - each room has a great view of Long Lake with an enclosed (screen) patio that is great for relaxing. Our room was clean, I had no trouble...

We watched boats glide by, heard birds singing and saw the sun sink below the horizon in a blaze of orange - all without leaving our motel room. My husband and I recently spent a week at the Sandy Point Motel and loved it. Every room faces the lake and offers visitors a dazzling view. We loved opening the curtain...

The view, the room and the management make this place. It's a 60's style hotel that is very clean. Owner, Dave, was informative and easy to work with. The location was perfect for our purposes. We used it a as base camp to travel through the area and really enjoyed hanging out on our deck overlooking the lake listening to...

My name is Collin, I'm 13. The reason I rate this hotel a 4, is because it's great for fishing and swimming. A very nice deck that overlooks the lake. There is very nice bedrooms, and the bedrooms overlook the Long Lake. The boat rental is very reasonable.

We recently visited Long Lake, New York for visiting day at our daughter's camp. We had no idea where to stay in Long Lake and most of the "motels" in the area had been booked for more than a year already. Dave, the owner of Sandy Point, went out of his way to accommodate us in his "over flow" space,...
