The staff is friendly and the rooms, compared to what you get in the city, are palatial by comparison. Price was great. Hot breakfast was adequate. Prices of items for sale in the lobby was very good. The only complaint is that their gym facility is very small with only one treadmill.
You don't have to take my words for it, try it for your self. A nice get away not a secret but a secret. Go for self and enjoy. They got breakfast Mmmmm. Tell them a Hyatt member sent you. Oh! You won't get anything for saying it, but it'll feel good to the them, it'll let them know that they are doing it right.
The inside was very pretty and quiet inside and out. Although my room was right in front of a bridge, my window can be seen cause it was that close haha. But other than that it was very clean and cute!
This Hyatt exceeded my expectations. The personnel were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were a great size with excellent storage - and clean. And, the overall price for the value was excellent.
I'm rating the hotel as poor, solely based on the placement of room 304. Placing a guest in this room should be a last resort based on being fully booked; otherwise, keep guest out of that room if you have any consideration for them.
Looking for a nice location, cute nearby restaurant, book store, wine store & Starbucks. Quick Uber/walk to nearby Astoria restaurants. Perfect stay. Rooms were great and the staff excellent. Clean & cozy.
Safe area. Close to subway. Con isn’t and clean. Hard to get the right room temperature. Stayed at 70 - 71 degrees regardless of what I set the thermostat to. Parking is limited but if you can manage to get there early in the day you will be able to secure one.
Below average Hyatt Place, probably among the worst if not the worst we've stayed. Benefits are convenient location a stop away from Manhattan and easy parking 30USD/night which they won't comp no matter what... ok. The bed was uncomfortable, there was a bump in the mattress but pillows were ok. Complimentary breakfast is a sh!@show if you show up close to cutoff time. I guess 6 or 7 am is much better.
This is our 3rd time staying at this property and we will definitely be returning. Each time we stay (including this most recent trip in November) has been consistent with service and the rooms are always clean. Globalist status is always recognized with upgrades if available and no issues with early or late check outs. The location is great in LIC and walkable to many places for food. The only downside is you don't get a Manhattan view as it's blocked by buildings and bridges.
We had 2 adults and 4 teens that stayed in one of the bigger rooms (two queens and pullout couch). We had plenty of room to stretch out after walking around NYC. This hotel offers free breakfast and is very convenient to the subway (Queensboro Plaza and Queens Place). It’s a short ride to 5th Avenue and Central Park. Dunkin, Starbucks, Chipotle are within a block or so of the hotel along with a few other local eateries. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are seeking a budget stay close to NYC!!!
