Holland Park or "Nile Horseback Safaris" as the locals might know it is one of the most beautiful yet tranquil places you'll find so close to. Central Uganda. Ensconced off the new Kayunga road, on the bank of the Nile, you won't find a more secure, more comfortable yet breathtakingly natural getaway. The rooms are clean (with stacks of books...

Holland Park is a little gem on the River Nile! I was so happy to arrive at the place - the grounds are vast and you can wander about and view the Nile from the banks. The swimming pool and 'reception' area is lovely - lots of comfy sofas.chairs and books to read! It was very quiet when I went...

Stayed for 2 nights in a cabin in late January 2017. There were no real problems, only minor details like a bit clogged shower sewer which was opened in two minutes. Place is clean and well kept. The cottages are not necessarily for weak legged because of the steep stairs. Self catered a bit. Kitchen is equipped with the basic...

Stayed there for a week in a cottage overlooking the River Nile and the cottage was clean, well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed like the cooker, microwave and fridge which came in handy. But we did eat from the restaurant and had great food and also received good service. The manager was very polite, attentive and...

I was here for a couple of nights last week. It wasn't hard at all to find thanks to Google Maps. Although its low season in January, it was almost fully booked. Thank God! The evenings by the Nile were quiet with breathtaking views (200degree view of the river), refreshing and an amazing property. Anna and Alex (the owners) personally...

When my friends and I took the turning onto the road leading to this little slice of Ugandan treasure, our first thought was, “Okaaay… this does not portend well” (I’m talking a kilometre of bumpy, dusty, twisty road through villages, with an occasional rebel cow strutting in the middle of it) But then, you come up a gate, with a...

The customer service is so so bad as if they were paying me to be there. All the birthrooms in 2,3,5 and 6 we were occupying didnt drain well, when we complained they said it was because we were showering at the same time. The stone floors are not hygienic especially in the bathrooms where the surface absorbs water. The...

We took a cottage for 3 of us, and here's the good part: ***A fabulous, fabulous view. This is the strongest positive point. ***Decent food - though only one vegetarian option (if you want pasta) ***Sweet cottage with kitchenette And the negative part: ***Difficult to negotiate stairs to the second floor (even if you're young!) ***Terrible driver's accommodations - so...
