We stayed for two nights at Mabuda over the Easter weekend, at a self-catering chalet overlooking the mountains.
It's a quiet farm with kind people. There are a few animals: dogs, cats, and horses - the latter can be ridden as an extra activity.
We stayed at Mabuda farm on the way back from Mozam and it was an absolutely fantastic set up - the gardens are amazing, spectacular views and great food. Stayed in the big house and a Rondavel and it was spacious, clean and very comfortable....More

Our last stop to the next border crossing at Goba. We were in the packpackers room, which were comfortable and clean. the kitchen was also clean and tidy. We bought meat at reception for our evening dinner.

There are fridge/freezers available in most units(if not all-the backpackers lodge has a communal kitchen and I believe the campers can use this kitchen as well). So, you can make your own ice in small quantities. Otherwise... More
