We've stayed here both times we've been to Lake Placid this year. We have found our go-to spot in the area! The staff at the front desk is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and treats you like an old friend. The prices for the rooms are very economical especially considering the quality. The beds are comfortable, rooms are spotless and... More

Wow! Thank you for your highest rating review. Thank you also for returning to the Placid Bay Inn. Our location which we like to think of as a calm and quiet place near to downtown; without all of the traffic of downtown, gives you the best of both worlds. We especially appreciate that you took notice of how we run... More

Just a brief, one night stay on our way to Ogunquit from Ennismore, Ontario. Room 16 was a tiny room, but a sweet corner room with a lovely view of the Lake. We'd stay again in this clean little hotel and probably ask for the same room! Thanks for the hospitality.

Your kind review is appreciated. The room you were in is one of our smaller rooms; but it does have a great view. So glad you mentioned our " lovely view of the lake", it is our opinion that you are right. It is lovely. In a future stay perhaps we could interest you in one of our larger rooms... More

We have used Placid Bay Inn many times before, and every time was great. This trip was a 10 nighter while we did some hiking in the High Peaks. Family owned and operated, and the landscaping is beautiful.

we appreciate your review and favorable comments. The fact that you stayed with us over and over again says a lot about who we would like to be as a resort. In particular we note that you took advantage of our kitchenette facilities. Thanks too for saying that we pay great attention to the look of the Placid Bay Inn.... More

We stayed in room 19 (up stairs)which was a nicely appointed room with a king bed, fireplace and partial view of the lake (chimney). We liked being able to open the window. We enjoyed using the free canoes and sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the dock. We were joined by a few friendly mallards. The yard was well maintained... More

We stayed 3 nights and found the queen w/kitchenette, lakeside very comfortable. Mother nature and the leaves didn't cooperate but White Face Mtn. and the town of Lake Placid and North Pole made up for her not changing the leaves.

Thank you for the outstanding 5/5 review! I'm sorry the weather didn't cooperate during your stay. I believe Columbus Day Weekend was the peak for colors this year. Three out of the four days were beautiful. Perhaps next time your luck with weather will be better. The wonderful thing about Lake Placid is that even when the weather isn't perfect,... More

We spent 3 nights here in room 16. This had a view of the bay and trees to the north. The room was cozy, not very big, but big enough. Comfortable room and bed. We did not face the road, so not sure about noise in other rooms. We did use the canoe one day. It is a nice area... More
