I stayed here in Sept 2016 for a conference. Due to the size of the conference and my late booking, this was about the only hotel in town that cost less that $500 / night. It is quite a distance from "downtown" Lake Placid, so get a rental car. The room itself wasn't dirty, but required numerous maintenance issues. The... More

If you are looking for a budget hotel this one is ok. Probably the cheapest price closest to Lake Placid. All of the basics are fine but nothing special. The TV's are outdated but work fine. The breakfast was fine but nothing special. The rooms were fine. Largest problem is internet is extremely slow as the motel fills at night.... More

I'll cut right to the chase. If you're thinking about staying at the Lake Placid Econo-Lodge, do yourself a favor: Shell $150 out straight into the toilet and flush. I'll give the front desk receptionist credit: she was very friendly and helpful. The room itself featured vintage everything. Can't remember the last time I've seen a CRT type Television as... More

We booked this hotel as part of a budget trip to Lake Placid for Columbus day weekend. There were mixed reviews so we figured we would take a chance. We won't be returning. Rooms were reasonably clean but SO outdated. TV was a tube television that looked over 20 years old. The carpet in the room was crunchy and looked... More

Nothing "fancy" here. But if visiting on a budget, you won't do better than this in the Lake Placid area. The decor is dated, but very clean and fully functional. The pool/spa area is extremely clean & comfortable for both families or couples. It also seems to be greatly underutilized. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay. Would... More

This was a very modest motel, which you will probably already know if you are considering booking. Dated decor with no charm, and furniture that looked like it was from a dorm room, but rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The staff was pleasant. It is a short drive into town. Rooms in the back (not facing the... More

I have never been treated so rudely by hotel staff in my life (!!), and I travel around the world on a regular basis, in all class of hotels. We were just at the hot tub, which had another guest's child in it (which apparently is not allowed), and yes a few guests had some drinks. The night manager abruptly... More

We picked this hotel solely based on the price and the fact that there wasn't a two night minimum. We visited on a busy, summer weekend. It took 15 minutes to walk to the intersection of Routes 73/86 - though there's only sidewalk for some of the trip, there's a good shoulder and in daylight it felt like a safe... More

Like other reviews, this hotel is on the older, less modern side. The room was clean but was a little musty smelling and the bed was old so not the most comfortable. We only stayed one night and it was fine for what it was. A place to sleep and shower. Breakfast was good...typical hotel breakfast, but enough to get... More
