Rolf and his crew do a great job here in a beautiful location and really provide an amazing service to anyone interested in visiting Lake Turkana. Honestly, I don't think I could have visited without them, and I am glad I did. It's pretty impossible to try to organize any visit to the parks on your own. Let Eliye Springs...

Eliye Springs Resort is on a fantastic beach of fine white sand and jade coloured water - not the Indian Ocean, but Lake Turkana. It's water is so soft that swimming there is like a skin rejuvenation. The resort, managed by Swiss Rolf, is doing a great job pampering its guests. Winnie the guest relations manager organised a superb trip...

Having prepared myself mentally for the journey across the sun-scorched desert i packed my bag and set off to Lake Turkana. This is a journey that is not for the weaker souls. Having spent my previous night in Kitale brought me much closer to the beginning of the journey to the Jade sea. However, the reality didn't strike me until...

Fantastic beach and great spot to explore central island. We had a food time with the owner and other guests, survived a disco night and enjoyed the bandas. Accomodation is rustic but tasteful and the staff was very pleasant. People complaining on the lack of internet or cold beer should stay home between the couch and the fridge.

I booked our one week stay with my clients on a trip north for a photography trip and stayed at Eliye springs resort. Was simply amazed of how the resort managed a top notch international class in the middle of nowhere. Cold beers for us, classic boma accommodation, great staff, great owner Mr Rolp ,and the amazing beach. Initially I...

So I will be the first to say I do not enjoy rustic which is why I bailed from staying in the Manyatta and took the dorm-ish like room unlike my colleague. I just prefer to not have to walk out to the loo or to shower. That being said, all the facilities are clean and impeccable so whichever your...

We went to Eliye Springs in the end of April and unfortunately started traveling from Kakuma at the day of huge floods - several rivers were unpassable and the Lodwar river was "closed" for almost 2 days - it was claimed to be one of the worst flooding of that river. However, the owner of the resort came to pick...

I enjoyed my stay in the bomas. This place is very far off the beaten track so don't expect wifi or usual resort-like conditions. The service is great and they do everything they can to make your stay more enjoyable. There's a nice restaurant and the bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. It's proximity to the lake is fantastic....

Although we started out renting the basic rooms, we were bumped into a highend Boma, due to our complaints about the noise of a generator. The location is just suberb, and the lake is a refreshing relieve from the heat. The staff were very friendly and a joy to be with. The meals were ok, but it is the ambience...

The hotel is at most, basic. There is hardly any cold beer, no internet or network connection and the roads to access it are virtually non-existent. Service is poor with careless employees, however, the place is surrounded by incredible nature. Food was decent.
