We had such a relaxing time staying at The Forsyth B&B! From the stylish rooms to our super comfy King bed- it seemed like such detail went into everything! We were able to self check into our room- The Erden- which we absolutely LOVED! I enjoyed how many different books, puzzles, games and art were around everywhere- We found ourselves just spending time gazing at everything. There are some really cute shops, restaurants and boutiques within walking distance in the Historic District. We stopped into the Brunette Wine Bar before dinner at Savona's. Made for a nice night! Tamara's breakfasts were so great and filling- she dropped everything off to our room where were able to lounge and eat. There was always tea and coffee and homemade treats available downstairs at all times, which was nice to stop by before bed! The room and common areas were kept very clean and organized- and social distancing was always respected. Tamara was so pleasant and helpful with whatever we needed- we will definitely be coming back soon for another visit! - Arielle & James

Tamara’s B&B up in Kingston, NY was so charming and had so much character. The soft jazz that was playing after we self checked into the inn was inviting as well as the atmosphere of the space. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the ceiling was slanted with wood beams and the bathroom had the cutest wallpaper. The backyard and front porch were inviting and we actually ate our breakfast in both spaces during our stay. Speaking of breakfast wow, Tamara outdoes herself with her cooking. My friend had a nut and fish allergy and she was able to cater to her and create a separate breakfast to fit her allergy. Every dish we had was delicious from salmon to vegetable egg quiche and breakfast quesadillas. She was very kind and hospitable during the entire stay. The location is great because it is near the Hudson River and just under 2 hours from the city. Thanks again for the lovely stay, I’ll definitely be recommending the Forsyth to anyone looking for a quick getaway up in the Hudson Valley!

We loved everything about our stay at The Forsyth. Tamara was a pleasure, helpful, friendly, and a terrific chef. We stayed in the Forsyth Suite on the first floor, which was a terrific choice for three of us--beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortable, and perfect for the senior citizen traveling with us. The food was outstanding and we really enjoyed the morning conversation with staff and guests--we even made new friends whom we're still in touch with. The porch was a pleasant place to recharge with a book and a cool drink or wind down in the evening. Street parking was easy, the B&B is very walkable, and with good restaurants (and the river) right nearby. Nowadays, stuck at home and unable to travel, I call back frequently to the wonderful time I spent at the Forsyth and look forward to visiting there again someday. If I'm ever back in the Hudson Valley (and I will be!) I'll definitely make a point of passing through Kingston and staying with Tamara at the Forsyth again.

The Forsyth B&B has the most beautiful touches all throughout the house! Our room, the Erden, was beautiful and decorated with neutral colors. The bathroom was completely new and everything was spotless. We had a large king bed that was very comfortable. There are a few common areas in the house - one area on the 2nd floor with a mini fridge, which always has filtered water, and a well-stocked book and game nook on the 1st floor. In the morning, we had the option to have breakfast delivered to our room our enjoy it on the porch or in the backyard area. All outdoor spaces here are wonderful with lovely flowers and great outdoor furniture. Breakfast here is one of the best breakfasts you’ll ever have! Each morning, Tamera starts your meal off with a new freshly baked good! Her blueberry scones and zucchini bread were amazing. She gave us plenty of hot coffee and fresh fruit. She is so detail oriented and garnished our water with mint and placed a beautiful flower in our teacup of fruit. For the main course, she provides you with a few options, like blueberry pancakes, brioche French toast and bacon, or a vegetable scramble with eggs and cheddar. The most delicious and filling meals! The B&B is located on a quiet strip right near a bridge. We took a 5 minute drive to rent kayaks and then another 10 minute drive to the Stockade District. It was a lovely historical town with quaint shops. There’s plenty to do in the area! This was the perfect getaway from NYC, especially during COVID. We are so grateful for Tamera’s clean and beautiful space and her personal touches with everything. We would love to return!
