We traveled with another couple and our rooms had been booked at the same time. They got charged $249 for a room with a queen bed. We were charged 391.00 for a king. When we inquired about the discrepancy they were rude, belligerent, and said "we should have known better!" Even though at the time of the booking the price was NOT $391. She said the price difference between a king and a queen was 140.00! When I asked to speak with a manager she responded they did not have one. All this said to make this high price worse was that this hotel is truly a DUMP, with an awful smell, dust, dirty, and furniture falling apart. I wish I had read these reviews. If I could rate them a 0 I would.

I came here for a long celebratory weekend seeking nothing more than clean, affordable accommodations to lay our heads and bathe. We were pleased to find our room included a free breakfast option until we actually went to our room. The first of 3 we tried. The first room’s bathroom light fixture over the commode had fallen out of the ceiling and was precariously hanging by a wire. There was a white drip mark stain on the wall near the bed. We notified the desk and were told there was no maintenance staff available to make repairs and offered another room. The second room’s window shade had been taken off of its hinges and was lying on the window sill. When the housekeeping supervisor, who was showing us the room, lifted it up there was an empty water bottle, a pen and some notes someone left behind and the sill hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Then we noticed the top of the window was open and askew. It had no screen and could not be closed. Onto room number 3. At this point we lowered our expectations but the walls were covered with scratches of missing paint, the grout in the shower was moldy, the bedspread had stains and the bed was so far off the frame as to be a tripping hazard. The elevator stopped regularly on the second floor whether your destination or not. While the staff was pleasant they were unable to do anything about the fees as we booked through a third party. Still it was bad enough to forfeit the last night and go home. It was a pity because the bones of the place have real potential. Still particularly with heightened pandemic protocols there is no excuse for a hotel to be anything other than pristine.

Terrible hotel! No air conditioning first night of stay. No manager, no maintenance man available, refused moving me to another room. Finally after hours of arguing with the desk attendant and a visit from the police, I was moved to another room with air conditioning. Desk attendant said she would refund me for my first night's stay but then charged me anyway. Dispute in process with my bank. Other problems included no shampoo or soap in room, the minute you walked out the door it smelled so badly from trash which was overflowing in the parking lot and located directly across from park full of homeless people and drug addicts sleeping on benches. Homeless people sitting on wall outside hotel asking for $$$. Several other members of my family arrived at 4 PM and no rooms were ready for check in. One cleaning person on staff!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Daughter's wedding this weekend at a nearby farm. Family booked 4 rooms for the event. Check in time was 3pm - no rooms available - said they had nobody to clean the rooms and could not guarantee that there would be a room for them after the reception that ended at 11pm. My 92 year old mother traveled 3 hours to get there and had no room. I had to allow my family members to change in my room. Family had to travel another 3 hours back home! When I told the desk clerk they ruined my daughter's wedding she said thank you and there's the door! They have some nerve charging $350+ for rooms at this dump!

My No. 1 criteria: we could bring bikes into the room, no problem. Plus this was the cheapest place to stay in Hudson (hardly a cheap town!) -- we were there on a Sunday night, and yes it was pretty empty. This is not a fancy place, though it looks like it's been recently renovated (though our shower head could be better attached -- sprayed the bathroom). COVID meant not much of a breakfast, but hopefully that will change. If you want fancy, go elsewhere. Overall, great location for us.
