My son and I were traveling through the Hudson River valley and we were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem. Inviting and comfortable! Breakfast was amazing in front of a crackling fire. Thank you! !
The worst B&B we’ve ever stayed in. Dirty towels, blood-stained pillows, dead flies on filthy window sills, a terrible bathroom... we fled when we saw dirty, filthy kitchen and the brown lettuce on the breakfast plates. Innkeeper does not speak much English so communication is an issue. She neglected to tell us that we needed to move our car (it sat right outside the house I plain sight) to the other side of the street, which resulted in a parking ticket. She asked us to vacate our room half an hour before check-out time because she needed to leave herself... on top of all this the place is horribly overpriced. Stay away! I can only guess that the previous positive reviews must have happened under a different management.
Our stay at 26 Warren was a bit lacking. The building itself was charming and quiet, away from the main area of town. Our room was wonderfully air conditioned and cold (It was a 100+ degree weekend!), however the room, while large, lacked anywhere to hang clothing. There was no closet or dresser in the space. Also, the bed in the Sienna room was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. My husband and I woke up in pain both mornings and had trouble sleeping through the night. Nobody came to make up the room or provide fresh towels for the day we were there, and at this price point, is inexcusable. Also, there was a smoke alarm above the bed with the battery latch hanging open with no battery in it. Not that safe. The bathroom is oddly laid out. That fact could add to the charm of the room, however the hot & cold in the shower is backwards, so be careful if you're trying to add more cold water. The water will only get hotter and hotter. We didnt partake in the breakfast, so I can't speak to that. Overall, I would not recommend, unless they were to add some functional furniture to the room, and not just strange, ecclectic, slightly shabby furniture. It would also help if they upped their daily housekeeping of the rooms. And most importantly, a new mattress should be purchased in Sienna!…
This was my first time at a bed and breakfast. I picked 26 Warren for a night for a long awaited girls roadtrip for the location, but the historical aspect and relaxed feel from the website really drew me to it. Just have to say that the next one I stay at has big shoes to fill. The owners were WONDERFUL, the room was comfortable, clean and quirky..the breakfast was amazing, and location was great to walk around town and down to the Hudson. I live in Florida so this was a well needed slice of upstate NY on our journey. A definite recommendation for anyone traveling down the Hudson!!!!
This was a last minute getaway for myself and my partner. It as the perfect selection , beautiful ambiance, clean, and comfortable within walking distance to many local shops and eateries . The building is timeless and the rooms decorated with tasteful character, I would highly recommend a stay at warren b&b. The breakfast was an added bonus ! Delicious . Looking forward to our return ... Jessica & Amir
